The Iranian conflict is overshadowing celebrations of Eid and the Persian New Year now rules across the Middle East. There's been ongoing bombardment in the capital Tehran. Iranian state media is reporting that high-profile military figures have been killed in recent U.S. and Israeli attacks. The intelligence she for Iran's besiege paramilitary Ismail Ahmadi was among those confirmed dead. The revolutionary guards spokesman has also been killed. Funals are underway in several cities across Iran. Meanwhile, in Kuwait, Iranian missiles hit a refinery in Al Ahmadi port. It's the latest attack on Gulf energy facilities following Israel's bombing of an Iranian gasfield on Wednesday. And in Lebanon, Israeli air raids have killed more than 1,000 people. Nearly a third of the population has been displaced. And Iran has carried out drone and missile strikes across Kuwait,

the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. As we mentioned, a refinery was struck in Kuwait. And loud explosions have been heard over central Israel as air defense systems try to intercept another barrage of Iranian missiles. At least one person has been reported injured as an Iranian attack damaged several sites in the city of Rahawat. It follows earlier strikes from Hezbollah, the Lebanese armed group, where two people were injured in northern Israel. For Israeli spending nights in bomb shelters has become part of daily life. At least 15 people have been killed in attacks by Iran and Hezbollah since the war. Iran started late last month. Israel relies on air defense systems and a wide network of shelters to keep people safe. Hi, Halema Hidin here.
