'Monkeys hate me' - Sam Cele

After Hours

About this episode

When I was 8 years old in Grade 2, I can never forget about 9 monkeys that made me run for my life. I don't know what upset them. Ever since then, when I see a monkey, I behave like a black man seeing a snake.
Last year, one day I was locked in the house with monkeys. The wind blew the door closed, and I ran and locked myself in my room, calling for help. A gentleman working at my neighbour's heard me and came with a broom but couldn't fight them off because they were frustrated and wanted to leave but had no way out. My neighbor, to my shame, heard the drama and entered the house and simply alpha'd them. After that, I also concluded that monkeys are racist or they racially profile people.
So, yesterday, they hurt me the most, stick around. ECR site
