Mock Draft Monday 3.0!!!

0:00What is up Packers fans and welcome back to the Daily Draft I am your host and the publisher Packer Report Ross Algamon. It is mock draft Monday. We are going to do what we do here every Monday. And that is to find a national mock. Talk about it as it pertains to the picks made for the Packers. Do a mock of our own and send you lovely people on their way. So we will start this week with the public mock. I will tell you I was going to break down Chad Reuters and that just would have ended up being dishonest. That was rough. That one was rough. It is a lot of looking at and I get it man you are doing it for all 32 teams I understand and I understand where expectations should be I understand all of it.

1:10But it was basically just going through needs and then picking players at those positions and needs as if you were reading off a spreadsheet so many things they for one reason or another either wouldn't historically do or just doesn't make sense for the team now right like I think you took a slot corner with the first pick. I have to on boulder just because it says they need corner doesn't mean they need a nickel they need somebody because Keisha Nixon and Karen can Valentine aren't the answer. Anyway, we are going to leave that one alone and then like there was a six foot eight defensive lineman and they like shorter interior like there's just a lot of stuff that they just don't normally do in that mock. 2:20A co mock between my buddy Jordan Reed and then field yates Matt Miller and no kiper over at ESPN so we'll go to round two I have not seen this one it's more fun to get those reactions that way so yeah this is my first for a. Into this mock i'm doing it with you. That's why we didn't break down the rotor mock because I read that one and I got all hot and bothered about it and then it wouldn't have made sense to break that down. Lee Hunter yeah I mean I could see it you know I think some of that is. That's sort of the fit with the player I mean I think he's pretty one dimensional in the sense that he's he's 330 pound nose tackle.

3:26I just don't know if he's going to rush the pastor but you know what it checks off a box and he's a good player roughly in that roughly in that consensus area it wouldn't surprise me it's a fine pick there's nothing wrong with it there's nothing wrong with it. I'm looking at like who. You know I don't see any picks right after that that I would you know get suit like they're not going to be into ponds. I like stowers with that would be crazy count a Scott as a nickel. You know donker I don't know yeah I think it's fine so skewching skewching on down to their third round pick. Yeah I just don't see it trading stokes I mean they they must like field must think that that stokes is going to play outside corner because I think I mean a lot of places list him as a safety not every place but a lot of a lot of places are listing him as a safety I think he's a safety nickel and they just don't need help they don't need help there.

4:35Stokes I think too is a multi multi your guy stokes might be older than boulder and not that you that means you can't add him but. Certainly nothing along the lines of. Nothing along the lines of of. Okay we were looking for potential boulder replacement we're not going to try and do that with an older player I think here you're projecting stokes into an outside zone corner if they. For and I don't know where I have these guys rank because I'm kind of going through my ranks and reshuffling and going to kind of get married to big board 2.0. But for what green Bay does specifically and because he ended up heavier Malik Muhammad would be a better pick than stokes I think daily and ever it would be a better pick than stokes. I think both of these two guys have a chance to plan the outside and I think green Bay would take them before they would take.

5:38I think green Bay would take them before they would take trade and stokes overall though I mean decent knows tack on a decent corner you can't get. Crazy crazy bent out of a shape and yeah I think it's it's fine I'm not going to get I'm not going to get bent out of shape with lehunter and trade and stokes I'd have a lot of question about the stokes pick if they actually made it specifically just where do you plan on playing him. That's it that's kind of what I'm you know b plus b minus like it it's fine it's fine okay we're going to finally leave and nothing wrong we're going to leave our friends at pff and go to the pro football network mock draft we haven't done one of these yet to be the first time that we leave pro football focus for a five round mock what's going on here. I'm going to have to vamp this is like a play by playing a baseball game I have to talk a little bit to you know move things along or give you guys content because this is there's like three speeds and I picked the medium speed and it's it's not very fast.

6:53Not very fast at all. Even on to rel is not going to be ranked 21 after some of the unfortunate things that happened in his. Christian Miller to the bears that would be very sad not only because Christian Miller is gone but because he's a bear. That's a big. Big one was easy. So while I appreciate your offer Houston and that's pretty good value we're going to reject this trade because. Chris Johnson's available and I haven't gotten to take Chris Johnson a while and that would be a pick that I would make with glorious glorious enthusiasm especially as Christian Miller comes off the board so now you know we're kind of. Kind of looking for. You know does a decent. Is it decent tackle defensive tackle show himself here.

8:00You know what are we kind of looking at oh that Bryce lance one I wouldn't really even thinking about Bryce but that's that's. I might trade down. Just because of the way the board is kind of fallen here no let's accept this let's accept this I like this so. If you guys can't see. If you're on the YouTube side or you're on the podcast side excuse me if the YouTube sides little small dialysis offered pick 152 and pick 177 so two top 200 picks to move back eight spots I don't love the way. That the board is right now and so I'm going to go ahead and take this deal and see how the board looks after a couple more picks. We'll be right back. See in this worked out perfect because I'm going to take down many corners right here which is a guy I would have taken anyway and we're in love we're happy we're pleased.

9:08So we picked up one fifty two one sixty one seventy seven and yeah we're we're jazzed about that. Although I think we should have a pick before that in round four. Yeah we yeah pick one twenty seven twenty. This would be very good issue we're going to go ahead and take. Malik Muhammad because he fell and even though we've already taken Chris Johnson we're going to take Malik Muhammad because he fell and we have a real issue at that position. And now we've done the classic Green Bay Packers double up. Did it with Edger and Cooper and Tyron Hopper did it with Josh Jackson and Jaya Alexander did it with. Luke Musgrave and Tucker Kraft. It's just a thing they do it's it's it's absolutely a thing they do did it last year with Matthew golden and Savion Williams which you know you can have your own opinions about that.

10:13Yeah. Taking Caleb Proctor so we not a lot of actually know we're going to take struggling. Because because honestly after that knows tackle we're pretty good. You think about how many defensive linemen you keep if you're the Packers so you're obviously going to keep Dominic Orange. You're going to keep hardgrave that's two you're keeping Wyatt that's three keeping Carl Brooks that's four. And Brinson makes five stack house makes six that's probably it if I'm even not forgetting an obvious one. Let me pull up the because sometimes when I don't have the roster directly in front of me I was trying to do this exactly right because they traded wooden so they can't keep wooden obviously is not on the theme. But I'm just thinking in a three four which is really more of a two four five nickel how many defensive linemen are you truly keeping. So we just took Dominic Orange that's one let's say they're not ready to give up on Warren Brinson that's two Carl Brooks does make three hardgrave does make four.

11:24And then Wyatt makes five stack house would make six Jordan Riley would make seven. They're not going to keep all those guys but I just I just wonder if if even though we were talking about Caleb Proctor not sure that makes a ton of sense. Stribbling is a guy they might actually be looking at. And then we're going to have to find later here. We're going to have linemen that that makes sense. He's a seventh year senior that's not going to be a packer I don't know why they list them as a tackle. Crawford's an interesting one day. Whenever it's an interesting one but we've already kind of taken to I like I like that he is Dixon more than most. I like cozy all.

12:26They're not going to take. They're not going to take. Or any of these guys. You know what this late. This late we can. We can take hardware list I think. He's a shorter guy but this late. And he's not like the athlete that they that they love love. I don't mind the pick. When I add Crawford to the edge group that one was really easy. So I really, really, really like this class. Really like this class. Chris Johnson, Dominique Orange, Malik Muhammad, Dijon Stribbling, Robert Willis, Kevin Crawford. I would have liked to probably hit offensive line in a different way or earlier. But man. I mean my first three picks here were guys that I I wouldn't blink if they took it 52.

13:27So that's that's hard to be mad. And there's been some like Kyron Crawford, Kevin Crawford, whatever I respel that there's been some talk of him at 84. And I was able to get him laid in in round five. I don't know. I really like the way this one shook out. You guys can let me know what you think in the comments. Yeah.
