Miller spent the last five seasons with the Bearcats, posting a 100 wins to 74 losses record. Before that, he coached at University of North Carolina Greensboro for a decade where he went 185 and 135. His Cincinnati team showed promise and hovered on the NCAA tournament bubble several times, but they never broke through. Meanwhile, Charlotte has struggled, missing the tournament since 2005 and coming off a 17 and 17 season that led to firing. Their previous coach, reports say Miller takes over a program that needs a boost in the AAC, where he should rank among the top coaches right away. He leaves behind a Bearcats squad he believes is on a sustainable path forward.
