0:00You found the Minnesota Wild Podcast, presented by Acris. Here we go wild fans back on home. I started a four game home stand with one of the new guys, Michael McCurran. It's been a while now since you've been a member of the state of hockey, but welcome to the state of hockey for his home game today. Is that add a little extra to it? Yeah, for sure. It's always a challenge coming in here as an away team. The fans always seem to be very into it, loud and energetic, and I'm happy to be on their side of things now. I'm very excited to tell my first home game tonight, especially against Central Division. Big match up tonight, so it should be good. Two games under your belt. If you splash out of the scene with a goal in the system, game number one. Not bad in the second game either. How would you say you're acclimating to the line of thus far? Yeah, not bad. I think I was rewarded with a couple points in the first game. Other than that, I think... Yeah, it's going to take some time getting used to the systems.

1:01I know Heinzi, well, he was my coach in Nashville, but at the same time, still changing systems in the middle of the season. It's tough and learning all your personnel and the team, and learning your teammates. I got some new line mates as well, so it's going to take some time to build some chemistry and to find my A-plus game. It's coming, and I can feel it coming, and it's a good thing. I don't think it's going to take too long. You're joining a very good Minnesota Wild Team that can go toe-to-toe with Vegas, Colorado. Name the top team in the National Hockey League. They're going toe-to-toe with them. The Utah Mammoth, though. For some reason, since they moved from Arizona to Salt Lake, this is the team that's been the Wild's Crypto Knight. You know the Utah Mammoth from your time in the Central Division. What makes them so good? What do you guys up against tonight? Yeah, they're really fast. They're skilled. Their forward group is very fast. They can make plays. They seem you pretty well. They're really good off the rush, so we're going to have to make sure we're good with our puck play. They have some big strung defense and defenseman. I think Matt has gone now, but they still have Ian Cole.

2:05They still have circuit chef. Who are a couple of big bodies? They got Wig or another big body. So it's tough to get to the net. We're going to have to find ways to get to the dirty areas of the game. I think our team's built for that. So yeah, I don't really know what's going on with the Minnesota and Utah. But all I know is when I was in Nashville, I had some success against them or not me, but our team. So we're going to have to play behind their defenseman. They like to jump up. So we're going to have to just play a smart game. Once again, welcome to the state of hockey. Good luck tonight. Yeah, thank you so much for having me.
