The first film smashed box office records and wraps up in the mid 80s, leaving plenty of his life untold. Lionsgatehead Adam Fogelson spilled on a podcast that shooting could start later this year or push to 2027. He pointed out there's tons of music and experiences from Jackson's later years that could fill another movie on their own. Fans and critics are split, with many calling the original, a glossy fan tribute that skips the tough stuff. The Jackson estate even pumped in $15 million to reshoot the ending and scrub any abuse mentions. When pressed on whether the sequel will tackle those series' accusations, Fogelson dodged, saying it's complicated, and maybe not the right time, or, person to decide.
