Miami Hurricanes Secure Perfect Record, Secure Tournament Seed

0:00On March 5th, the University of Miami men's basketball team stayed perfect from tip-off to buzzer, beating SMU-77 to 69 at the Docuress, Moody Center. This victory pushes the hurricanes to 24 and 6 on the season, tying their school record for regular season wins, and 13 and 4 in, Atlantic Coast Conference play, locking in the number 3 seed for next week's tournament. Miami built a solid lead in the first half, hitting 38-31 at the break after strong shooting from beyond the arc. They jumped out even stronger after half-time with a 7-0 run to go up by 14. Standout play came from Trey Donaldson, who dropped 17 points with 9 assists and 7 rebounds. Malikrano added 14 points and 11 assists for a double-double, while True Washington sealed things late with key free throws and a layup. The hurricanes shot lights out from 3, making 11 of 18 attempts while hitting 47.4% from the floor overall.
