The New York Met's shook up their spring training roster this week by optioning right-handed pitcher Jonah Tongue to triple A Syracuse. The 22-year-old top prospect will skip the rest of CAM and start the regular season in the minors. Tongue had been seen as a contender for one of the starting rotation spots heading into the 2026 campaign. Instead, the Met's decided he needs more seasoning down on the farm before a bigger role.
