Nolan McLean dominated early, keeping a perfect game into the sixth inning, before the Giants finally touched him. The Met's bats exploded for 15 hits, three home runs, and 10 runs scored their most since opening day, and more than their previous four games. Combined, every single batter reached base at least once. The offense wasted no time, loading the bases in the first and scratching across a couple runs. Mark Fientos kept the pressure on with walks and hits, while Marcus Simeon crushed a two-run homer in the fourth. His first as a Met. Francisco Alvarez wasn't done, ripping solo shots in the fourth and seventh to straight away center, that firepower buried the Giants early, but McLean set the tone on the mound. The young Ridey went five and one-third innings, allowing just two runs on one hit, two walks and four strikeouts.

The Intos reached base four times in his fourth straight start, making a strong case to stick in the lineup. Simeon earned Game MVP honors, going three for five, with three RBI's after a slow start. Meanwhile, Juan Soto left early with a tight right calf, replaced by Tyrone Taylor. The Met's keep rolling with the Giants in a four-game series, facing off Saturday at 9.05 p.m. Eastern. Clay Home starts for New York, against Landon Roof for San Francisco, should be another battle out west.
