Mets Add Veteran Pitcher Dan Hammer

This move comes from reports by MLB.com's Anthony Dicomo and bolsters their pitching death. Hammer entered Pro Ball when the Baltimore Orioles picked him in the 13th round of the 2019 MLB draft. He spent his early years in their system before heading to the Tampa Bay race through the minor league part of last year's Rule 5 draft. Now 28 years old, Hammer locked 31 relief outings last season with the race AA Montgomery Biscuits. He's known for his work out of the bull pin at that level. Over his full minor league career, he owns a 5.34 earned run average and a 1.67 walks plus hits per inning pitched. He has racked up 303 strikeouts along the way.
