Meth, Fentanyl Seized in Pelham Traffic Stop

Three people faced drug charges after a traffic stop in Pellam, Alabama, turned up methamphetamine and fentanyl in a vehicle. Shelby County Sheriff's Deputies and Pellam Police made the arrest on Thursday, February 26. The stop involved the K-9 unit from Pellam Police, where the dog Myra alerted officers to search the car. That probable cause led them straight to the drugs hidden inside. Johnny Wayne Horton, Ryan Seth Horton, and Elizabeth Wittner were the ones taken into custody. Johnny faces counts of possession, distribution of a controlled substance, and drug paraphernalia, while Ryan guy hit with possession and Elizabeth. With paraphernalia, plus promoting prison contraband. All three were booked into Shelby County jail, but have since posted bond and walked free.
