Men Jailed for Magaluf Gang-Rape

0:00On March 9th, eight men have been sentenced to a total of 73 years in prison for gangraping an 18-year-old British woman in a tracks in a pier. Magaloof Hotel Room, seven French nationals and one Swiss man filmed the attack and shared videos on social media. This happened back on August 14th, 2023, at the BH Malorca Resort. The assault began when two of the men got the woman, who was semi-conscious from alcohol, into their room around 7.30 a.m. They invited strangers from the hallway to join in, leading to a 30-minute attack, all eight eventually pleaded guilty in court. The victim escaped the room, got help from hotel staff, and alerted police. Investigators found multiple videos on the men's phones showing the assault. Cops even tricked resuspects into coming to the hotel by calling her stolen phone, leading to quicker arrests. Prosecutors first sought 151 years total, but after a deal with defense lawyers, the sentence dropped by more than half.
