Organizers announced the show on Tuesday, marking a big get for the event. The group, founded by Dave Mustaine, has been rocking since the 1980s, with hits like symphony of destruction and dystopia. Mustaine got his start as lead guitarist for Metallica, before launching Megadeth. Fans are buzzing about the concert set for Saturday, August 22nd, at 7 p.m. on the Borealis Theatre stage. It comes right after the band's latest album dropped in January, which they say will be their final studio release. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through AlaskaStayFair.org, so metal fans should grab them quick.
