McDuffie to Rams: Reunion with Nacua

0:00It's March 4th, here's your NFL news in two minutes. The Kansas City Chiefs traded star cornerback Trent McDuffie to the Los Angeles Rams on Wednesday in exchange for draft picks. This move reunites him with Rams, wide receiver Puka Nakua, his former college teammate from the University of Washington. Back in college, Nakua and McDuffie played together for the Huskies from 2019 to 2020. Nakua then transferred to Brigham Young University while McDuffie got picked by the Chiefs in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Nakua could not hide his excitement about the reunion. He dug up an old tweet from their Washington days and added a cool sunglasses emoji to celebrate the news. Over four seasons with Kansas City, McDuffie started 56 games. He racked up three interceptions, 34 passes defended, and 246 tackles. Kansas City will feel the loss on defense, but the Rams get a proven player to bolster their secondary. Los Angeles hopes this helps them push for the Super Bowl after coming close last season.
