Matthews' Agent Blasts Light Suspension for Gudas

With the NHL today, March 16th, Toronto Maple Leafs captain Austin Matthews is out for the rest of the regular season after a neon knee hit from Anaheim Ducks' defenseman Radco.

Gouda's, the collision happened in the second period, leaving Matthews with a grade 3 MCL tier in a quad contusion, he had to be helped off the ice in pain and will miss the final 16 games.

The NHL Department of Player Safety hit Gouda's with a five game suspension following a phone hearing.

Matthews agent Judd Moldaver blasted the punishment as way too life for the damage done.

With 27 goals and 53 points in 60 games this year, Matthews was having another strong season cut short.
