Math Teacher Charged for Child Abuse Website

0:00On April 29th, a 58-year-old math teacher from Brisbane Private Schools faces serious charges for running a child abuse website called For Skin Worship and Gruming a Minor. Jonathan Club got hit with counts of managing the site, possessing child exploitation material and using online services to share it. This all allegedly went down from early February until his arrest on April 13th at his East Brisbane home. Several charges dropped on Thursday include grooming a child under 16 between February 9th and March 22nd, plus soliciting abuse, material. Police say he planned a sexual act outside Queensland and found linked items during a home search. Club held big roles like head of math and student director at Prince of Peace in Everton Hills until late last year and had ties to Faith Lutheran, Redlands. Both schools say he's not currently working there and Prince of Peace notes no link to their students stressing kids safety first. 1:03In court Wednesday, his lawyer pushed to delay everything until May 15th. He's out on bail with strict rules. No contact with kids under 16. No schools or playgrounds and internet only for basics. No plea entered yet, so the case rolls on.
