The footage captured the assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics using strong profanity against the group. Late Friday, university officials issued a statement calling the behavior inconsistent with their values. They confirmed the faculty member admitted to the profanity and stressed their commitment to free speech with mutual respect. Officials plan to have conversations with all involved to uphold those standards on campus. This wasn't the first clash. According to Ethan Kaiser, president of the local Turning Point USA chapter, the professor approached them a week earlier. He called the students, dog-shit-grifters, and mocked an assassination attempt on the group's national leader, Charlie Kirk, with crew gestures.
