Massive Fire at Trafford Park's Tenax Road

0:00On May 2nd, firefighters jumped on a massive blaze at Trafford Park's 10X Road, around 11.45pm on May 1st. It's the second big fire there in just over a week, hitting a waste side packed with scrap metal, fixed smoke and flames lit up the night sky. Crews from Greater Manchester sent 10 fire engines plus specialist gear like the Scorpion turntable ladder, two jets and six ground monitors. They've been grinding through the night to knock it down. Locals nearby heard sirens blaring from the site and woke up to a heavy smoke stench hanging in the air this morning. TeenX Road shut down southbound at first, messing with traffic from Parkway Circle to TeenX Circle. No casualties reported, and all staff got accounted for safe. Firefighters are still on scene, teaming up with sight operators to fully douse it and secure the area. Roads now open one way from 10X Circle toward Parkway Circle. With crews linking up with highways folks to clear it completely soon right after. That April 24th in Ferno at Brado Business Park, since smoke miles out.
