Massive Factory Fire in Trafford Park

0:00On April 24th, a massive fire broke out at an industrial site on Clarence Avenue in Trafford Park, sending thick black smoke billowing across the skyline near the Trafford Center. Drone footage captured the huge plumes rising high, visible from miles around. It kicked off just after 1.25 pm on Friday, April 24th, involving part of a factory building. Fire crews from Stretford, Eccles and Manchester Central rushed to the scene first, hitting the blaze with water jets right away. They brought in extra engines, specialist gear, and even an aerial ladder to battle the flames. Eyewitnesses nearby heard two loud bangs before stepping out to find smoke everywhere, thick and choking. Folks in the area got told to shut their doors and windows tight and steer clear while crews handle it. The fire service is teaming up with police, ambulances, and hazardous response teams to keep things safe, especially with chemicals and oil drums. Store closed by. There are still pouring resources into knocking it down.
