It's April 15th. From your city to your ears, this is Lester News Today, Powered by AI. I'm Corey with the story. Fire crews from Nottinghamshire, Lestershire and Derby hit the Hathorneware industrial state in Sutton, Bonnington, Hard Today battling a massive. Blaze that tore through buildings, trailers, timber, pallets, and even cylinders. The fire kicked off around 10.47 am on Wednesday, April 15th, right on the Nottinghamshire Lester Shire border, forcing folks to steer clear of the whole area. Things got intense quick, with explosions from those cylinders popping off loud bangs that echoed everywhere. A huge smoke plume shot up, shutting down nearby railway lines for a bit while crews worked to contain it. Locals felt the shake, a PhD student at the University of Nottingham's Sutton, Bonnington campus, said it sounded like a crash into his building, with a real shockwave rattling everything. Over at Hungary Lane Organics Farm next door, they posted about the smoke fog rolling
in and those bangs, but luckily no one got hurt. By 3.11 pm, Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue was scaling back their presence since the fire is now fully surrounded. Rail lines are back open, but they're telling nearby residents to keep windows and doors shut and not freak out over any more noises. Crews are still on site making sure it stays under control, so heads up if you're in the area, stay safe out there.
