Topatlete en rolstoelpatiënte Marieke Vervoort was onze Belgische paralympische trots. Ze leed aan een ongeneeslijke spieraandoening en zat in een rolstoel. Ze was te gast in 'Touché' net na haar overwinning op de Paralympische Spelen van 2012 in Londen. Toen sprak ze voor het eerst over haar euthanasieplannen. Zeven jaar hield ze het nog vol, tot op 22 oktober 2019 het gevecht met haar zieke lichaam echt te zwaar werd.
