About this episode

Summary

Happy Tuesday, Broadcast Fam! Today, in an abbreviated (by our standards) episode, John reacts to stories in Europe of Muslims trying to impose their will on non-Muslims during Ramadan -- warning that Muslim intolerance and intimidation will become epidemic in America if not nipped in the bud. Additionally, John -- with guest Christine Czernejewski -- examines media bias regarding political issues and the means by which to promote higher journalistic standards.

0:00Will we continue to embrace true justice, peace, and a path to prosperity? I believe that America's best days can still be ahead, and I want to lead us forward. Join me now in the Read Revolution. Hey, good morning. Tuesday morning, the Read Revolution. I'm John Reed, and very glad you are with us here today for the program. Let's check real quick. You know what? Producer Dan, I'm always forgetting I don't wake up in the morning and think, oh, what did Gazala Hashmi do? But I am waiting for someone to ask her a question about American involvement in Iran, because I think that's a legitimate question to ask her. You know, we're asking everybody else, what do you think? Or, you know, most of the Democrats are sharing their opinion very, very vocally.

1:02They have discovered that there is a group of anti-American pro-terrorist, pro-violence folks within their party. I mean, I don't know if that's a discovery. It's always been there, but it's probably grown in recent years, and they're catering to them. So let's just look on Facebook here. God, I can't stand the voice, but anyway. Yeah, don't see anything raising the minimum wage. I don't see. Have you seen anything from her on this? Producer Dan, I don't think so. Let's see here. We'll just check one more place. I mean, you know, if you're going to run for office and everybody's going to get so excited that you were the first Muslim statewide woman in America, then come on.

2:02Don't you think we need to know your opinion on this very, very important issue? Let's see, just one more place I want to check, because I don't, in all fairness, if she has offered an opinion, let's hear what it is. And I don't want to come on the radio or whatever with the podcast broadcast. I don't want to be unfair to her. If she has said something about it, doesn't look to me like she said anything about it. So, you know, that's a problem. Once again, we've got, we've got Abigail Spanberger, the governor, who has deliberately lied to everybody. And, you know, it's not just a political issue like the affordability issue. I do think she lied about the affordability issue, because you know, she showed up on inauguration. She didn't really have any plans to address affordability. Remember Glenn Youngkin, he had this day one agenda that he just kind of beat to death when he was running, but it was very effective. And in on day one, shockingly enough, he had all these plans that addressed those issues that he kept talking about with the day one agenda.

3:08I was kind of impressed that he did that. You know, we could debate what was successful and what wasn't successful, but at least on day one, he showed up with plans to address the things he had spent eight months talking about. And that presumably were the reason that people gave him their vote, right? She shows up and her colleagues in her Democrat caucus, they just proposed tax increases. Uh, affordability, that has anything to do with affordability. So, you know, to say she lied about it, I think she played politics with it. I think she talked about what she thought would make you and your neighbors give her her vote. Give a vote to her and her friends and her party and you got suckered. Maybe the people watching this program didn't get suckered, but a lot of people got suckered. Oh, you know, someone cares about me, they want to make life easier for me. Well, not really, because tax increases are not going to do that. And the changes to the obligations of running a business are going to make a lot of businesses either evacuate or say, you know what?

4:16Those little kiosks that they use at McDonald's, we can probably use that here. And a little bit later, maybe we'll show you the advances that China's making with computers. I mean, I, I would be worried. I am worried. I'm worried about AI and I have done television and radio most of my life. So if AI can replicate me and come up with something that sounds similar to me, I don't think you cut any new ground with AI. You won't get original thought, you won't get an original reaction that might be different from what everybody else says, which is what I always try to do. Why don't usually watch the evening shows because I don't want to repeat what everybody else and whatever I say is what I'm thinking. And hopefully it's somewhat unique on the spectrum, not crazy unique, but somewhat unique. Let's go. That has the potential to go away because I don't think people value that. And these companies, all they want to do is make money producer Dan and I were talking about that yesterday about how, you know, there are a lot of people we've encountered who the only guy they don't give a damn what's going on behind the scenes.

5:20They don't care who lives. I mean, seriously, they don't care who lives or dies. And I think of one case where someone died and everybody pretended they cared. They didn't care about the person dying. They just needed to keep the money going. Okay. I mean, once, once I realize that, then I can put things in perspective and I can make my own value adjustments. So you've got Abigail Spamberger talking about affordability. Okay. No one, a lot of people got fooled by that. But then she did very clearly lie about the redistricting issue. I think every time people see Abigail Spamberger in the media, they should be asking her questions about affordability. What have you done this week to make life more affordable for the average Virginia? That was the theme of your campaign. Tell me what you've done. Tell me, tell me what you and your friends in the general assembly have done. There's not going to be an answer because they're not. And quite frankly, everything they're doing is going to drive the prices up.

6:21And then with Gazala Hashmi, you know, she chose to walk in the protests with the Hamas terrorists or the sympathizers. I won't say they're terrorists here, but the sympathizers here in all fairness. But I mean, I think that's still problematic to use a leftist phrase. That's problematic to me. If you're going to be marching with the Hamas Palestinian sympathizers, that concerns me. Like I have to tell you, if you're out marching with Hamas, if you're waving the Palestinian flag, I don't think you're on the side of the United States. I just don't. And when I look at the terrorism that they're responsible for, and the abuse of women, the abuse of gays like me, you know, I, I, I, there's no, there's no need for me to sugarcoat it. If you are threatening my life, I got a problem with that.

7:21If you are saying that I am a piece of, you know what? And you want to kill me and you want to subjugate me, I got a problem with that. I'm not, and I don't know if everybody's figured it out yet. I'm not the kind of person who's just going to kind of whimper off in the corner and cry about it. And I'm really not going to be looking for other people to solve my problems. I'm going to confront you on it. So that's, that's what I'm doing. I know that's weird. I know most people are used to, you know, silent cries or theatrics. I'm going to confront you on it. So when you march with Hamas, and I know what Hamas does to gays, I know how they treat women. I know how they treat anybody who's in a minority status, who isn't a part of their religion, forgive me, but I got a problem with that. And I would like to know what Ghazala Hashmi thinks of the removal of the Ayatollah, what she thinks of the United States going after Iran, trying to free the people of Iran.

8:25Does she see as a freedom operation, or does she see it as oppression of Muslims? Or something else. I'm not trying to put words in her mouth. Why don't you answer that question? And if you were bold enough, seriously, lady, if you were bold enough to march with Hamas, how come you're not running your big mouth now? Where's your bullhorn now? You got this guy, and I don't know him. I mean, if he's a security guard, if he's a cop, I'm disinclined to be hypercritical, but he's shoving the reporter out of the way, so that the legitimate reporter can ask her a question. This is in the state capital. Is this what we want from our elected officials, someone who refuses to talk to the press, who thinks that even in the capital building, when they're on the clock, they don't have to answer any questions. And that wouldn't even about Iran. That was about the illegal immigrant who murdered the 41-year-old woman. So I keep waiting to see whether anyone's actually...

9:27I mean, it's a great story. Forget my political acts to grind. If you're a reporter, it's an awesome story. Can you imagine? Tonight at 6, we'll tell you what Lieutenant Governor Ghazala Hashmi thinks about the invasion of Iran or the attack on Iran. Tonight at 6, the first Muslim, a statewide leader in Virginia tells you what she thinks about the attack on... That's a great story. It doesn't have to be from John Reed, the guy she defeated for Lieutenant Governor. I mean, that's not a... It doesn't have to be a part of it. I mean, you can take a shot at me if you want to and say that I've been very loud from my new podcast attacking her. That's what you want to do, because that is true. I'm going to do that. I want everybody to know. I'm not apologizing for it. That is what I'm going to do. Since no one else in this state will hold anybody accountable, then I guess it falls to me to do that. Okay.

10:27I got the assignment and I am happy to do it. Because I don't think that that's unreasonable. The little Iatola here should have to answer questions. That's AI for everyone who's so worried about whether you can identify AI. I wanted this to be so obviously a joke that even a dummy in the Democrat Party. Could identify artificial intelligence. I mean, she's a tiny little lady, which fools a lot of people. Like, oh, she's such a tiny little lady. She's not that tiny, but it's to make a point. But you know, you never know with the mindset of modern Democrats these days. They'll look at that and say, oh, you didn't label it as AI. Let me verbally label it for you. That picture you just saw of the little Iatola was artificial intelligence. I'm not sure whether she walks around in her house, which whatever house she lives in, because she lied in order to stay in the Senate. No one seems to care about that either. So I don't know whether it was house number one or fake house number two.

11:29I don't know what she wears at home or what her arrangement is at home. But that was AI. Let me show you why this is so concerning to me. What is happening in the United States? Other than the obvious, if you're paying attention and the press wants, the press really doesn't want to make a big deal out of this. But we should start to see the patterns. You know, in Austin, Texas, I went to Baylor University. So, you know, there was no dancing or drinking at Baylor in Waco. So we went to Austin frequently in the 80s and early 90s. And we would go to a place called Sixth Street, Big Party Street. What Richmond wishes, Shaco Bottom and Shaco's slip. Could be without the gunplay that kills two people and, you know, wounds, nine people on a Saturday night at three o'clock in the morning. But that's beside the point. Sixth Street, very popular in Austin. Lots of people go out and about.

12:31So if you're paying attention and that press, you know, that always wants to put things in perspective does not want to put this in perspective. After the attack on Iran began, you had an Islamic radical gunman, young man, who decided to kill people in Austin and shoot people in Austin. So he gets out of his car and he just starts blowing people away in Austin. Fortunately, the police killed him. They showed up, I'm told, in less than a minute. Wow, that's an amazing response. You know, in Austin's a big Democrat city. So I'm, I'm really kind of surprised and impressed that the police haven't been neutered there. You know, they didn't have to unlock their gun from some sort of biometric safe to get to their gun. I, I, all joking aside, I am impressed that the police would show up there within a minute in a Democrat run city and apparently not hesitate to take this guy out.

13:31That's what you got to do. You got to do that. And it doesn't have anything to do with him being Muslim. If someone shooting everybody, you should take them out. I think I, I am not a big fan of all this negotiation with people who are committing crimes. What, tell me what, what has driven you to try to kill these people who are bleeding out on the sidewalk over here? No, we kill them. And then we check their phone and try to figure it out after the fact. But we're not going to allow people to die because we're too impotent to deal with the problem right in front of our face. That's me. That's kind of an old-fashioned mindset. I think we're not being served well with the whole social counselor. Let's bring in someone to talk about, you know, your, your mother not loving you enough or something. I don't think we're being served well with that. So that happened in Austin. And then while the right wing is having a protest in New York City near the mayor's home, Gracie Mansion in Manhattan.

14:36And ironically, right behind some useful idiot leftist who is screaming about everyone gets to stay in New York. We don't want to get rid of people in New York. I guess including the guy who's coming up behind you who's about to throw an improvised explosive device at the crowd. You have the potential for a terrorist attack there. But it was a terrorist attack. It wasn't a potential. A deadly terrorist attack. It didn't turn out to be deadly. But depending on who you believe, it could have been very deadly. And if the reporting is accurate, and of course I never believe everything, I don't believe anything anymore. I have to see it multiple times and verify it. And I just, I don't think anyone's honest anymore, which is very upsetting to say. But the reporting is that the young man, the two young guys who did this, one of them at least said they wanted the bombing in New York to be bigger than that explosion at the Boston Marathon that killed people and harmed people with the explosion of like the crockpot that blew up.

15:44So somehow they thought they were going to pull that off supposedly. Do you see what's happening? Do you need somebody from 60 minutes to do a 20 minute piece to put piece A and piece B together for you? We have jihadists in our midst and not everything is going to be as dramatic as flying airplanes into the World Trade Center and causing buildings to melt on themselves and collapse. Not everything is going to be that dramatic. But when you think about it, that was coordinated, but that was that wasn't really high tech. That was people who got on an airplane with a bunch of box cutters and murdered the flight attendants kicked in the door and took over the airplanes and flew them into the building. I mean, well, you know, you didn't have to be a nuclear scientist to create that deadly, horrible situation, which did a great deal of almost wrecked our economy.

16:45Did a great deal of damage to our economy. Do you get it yet? I mean, really, truly, is everybody paying attention here? We have jihadists in our midst. Now, that doesn't mean just to be clear, and if you're watching the show and not what I'm saying is making you angry, I want you to understand. It doesn't mean that the Muslim family down the street is a jihad family. It doesn't mean that. It doesn't mean that they're 16 year old son who wears a hoodie or, you know, they're celebrating Ramadan, right? It doesn't mean that they are out to get you or hurt you. It does not mean that. It means that we need to be more discerning as a people about what is happening and not act like everyone has good intentions. It means we've got, unfortunately, we have to investigate these things and that's uncomfortable. I wish it wasn't the case. I wish that wasn't the case, but how much more of this do you need to see before you recognize that we have a problem?

17:50And the things that you would look at that you might say, okay, well, this clears everybody like in the case of the people in New York the other day. Yeah, again, if the reporting is correct, the parents came to the United States. I am told by the reporters that they were naturalized citizens. They came here to escape horrors in their home country. That's fantastic. Great. Great. The problem is that their children have been radicalized. Who did it? I assume not the parents. I don't know. We need to find that out. Was it the mosque? Was it someone online who's preaching violence towards Americans? We need to get to the bottom of that. And I don't, you know, we've got the First Amendment right to free speech. So how are we going to balance this in a modern society with the Internet? The Internet has the possibility of educating everyone because the history of the world and the knowledge of humanity is one key stroke away.

18:58And instead of that elevating the conversation, it's denigrating the conversation and it's empowering the worst behavior. Whether it's, you know, constant non-stop pornography being piped right into your 10-year-olds little cell phone or your husband or wife's cell phone if we're being completely candid. It doesn't have to be a 10-year-old. The negative impact that's having on a lot of relationships and families and marriages. I mean, that's the Internet is doing a lot of damage here. And our principles are kind of at odds with what's happening in our own backyard. It's going to take a new collection of leaders to figure out how to navigate this. Before we are overtaken by hyper-aggressive people who are going to insist that we bow down to their religious beliefs.

20:01And again, I'm not saying that this is a problem with everybody, but it doesn't take a large number of people to make life miserable for everybody. You know, our attention and our focus on diversity is kind of backfiring on us right now. Why do I say that? Producer Dan, let's play this first clip of what women look like in Iran over the decades leading up to the Iranian Islamic Revolution. And maybe this will help you understand what could happen here if we're not careful. Take a look at this. There's the revolution.

21:01This is where we hope we're going where young women in Iran are no longer forced to cover. And you know, it's so annoying the meme that's out there that shows a Catholic nun with a habit on, you know, that covers her hair and the modest clothing of a Catholic nun. And the meme always says, if you aren't upset about the Catholic nun, but you are upset about the job, then you're just showing your bigotry. That is so false because the Catholic nun can quit. The Catholic nun put that on presumably because she wanted to. She is subjugating her life to Christ because she wanted to. And if for some reason she decides she doesn't want to live that life anymore, I'm sure it's not easy to just walk out of a nunnery or convent. And there's a consternation about that.

22:02I'm certain, but you can leave. You're a free person. This is done with your free will. And no one is going to chase you down and beat you in the street or throw acid in your face or murder you because you're no longer a nun. Contrast that with what happens to women in the Middle East regularly who refuse to cover their hair or wear immodest clothing by their standards, not by our standards. I mean, can you imagine all these young girls who are swimming pool around the corner from me? The kuchi cutter shorts. I was like, wow, okay. I mean, if that were my daughter, I'd probably be like, all right, let's, let's cover up a little bit here before we turn everybody on it. At the pool, but, you know, not, not my business. I don't say anything. You know, your family, you, you manage that. However, you see fit. I know what that's like in a family where people are arguing over what people wear and, you know, put your shirt on. Why are you wearing a tank top?

23:03I'm even for guys. It's like, what are you doing here? Why are we walking around with so much flesh exposed? It's a legitimate conversation to have. It's just that in Islam, they're not having the conversation. They're demanding your submission, submission to their beliefs. And it's not just the people who are adherents of their religion. It's everybody. And we've got to guard against that happening here in the United States. Why do I say that? A, because I lived in the Middle East, and I think I have shared with you the story about how I was in the Middle East during Ramadan. I had anxiety about that, but I was like, I'm sure it's going to be okay. It was not a great experience because, you know, of course, it's their country. I'm a guest in their country. So quite frankly, my plan was if I'm ever doing this kind of work internationally, I will not be in a Muslim country during Ramadan. Because during the fasting hours from the crack of dawn till the sun goes down, you can't even drink a, here.

24:10This gets you thrown a jail. You do that outside your hotel. If you do that in the lobby of the hotel, if you do that, even if it's 130 degrees outside. No, you're going to jail if they say you take a sip of water. Not making it up. They'll come take you off the bus or pull you over on the street. If you're driving in the street and you're drinking water in your own car, you're going to jail. Now again, that's their country. So I was a guest worker in their country. I didn't like it. I don't, I didn't appreciate it. I didn't like that pressure. It made me feel very uncomfortable. I don't approve of that. But quite frankly, tough luck for me. I was a guest in their country. I needed to leave. And believe me, I did. Because I wasn't going to subject myself to that. Plus throwing the gay thing, you know, I really wasn't interested in being thrown off the top of a tower

25:10when somebody got mad with me. So I just didn't, you know, just one working. My anxiety level was high. But when people of that faith come to the West, and we have a really bunch of dumb, dumb naive politicians in the last 25 years, who have invited this migration and this immigration for some reason. And I, I mean, it's hard for me to understand exactly who they're engaging with, unless it's like the United Nations crowd, which is pretty sophisticated. But even the United Nations crowd, they take their faith seriously. I mean, I'm, listen, if you take your faith seriously, I'm not mocking or ridiculing you. It's your business. In fact, can I just say this? I hope this doesn't make everybody mad. If you deprive yourself of water and food, in order to focus your mind and your spirit and your soul on your relationship with God,

26:14I admire that. If you do it, though, if you choose to do that, with all the distractions in our society, like we're celebrating a lent in the Christian faith right now, leading up the period of time, leading up to Easter, to the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ in our religious tradition. No one is forced to participate in lent. You choose what you're going to give up during lent. If anything, most of my friends who claim to be Holy Roller Christians don't give up anything, you know, they're, I mean, maybe they show up at church, but honestly, I don't think many of them are going to give up chocolate. Okay, except on Saturday nights. I mean, come on. If you're disciplined enough to give up something that you would normally need or like, and it is a part of this mindset that you're getting in touch with God and trying to be a better person, I actually admire that.

27:14What I don't admire is forcing other people to go along with it, which brings us to the next set of clips here. Producer Dan, here's a young woman on a bus, Ramadan in the United Kingdom. I don't know if this is London or where this is, but she's being scolded and yelled at because she's eating on the bus and the Muslims in that community don't appreciate the fact that she's actually eating in public. Even though it's their choice to fast, she didn't agree to that. Watch this. I can smell that. Do you mind eating that somewhere else? I'm fasting. I'm fasting. That's not my concern. Yeah, but I'm fasting there. So why are you out? What do you mean why am I out? If you're fasting, she'll be in doors. Yeah, but I'm eating my lunch and you can't understand me. Yeah, but I can smell it. So what is food? You're causing her to smell it. Yeah, but can you not just wait until you get off the bus? Don't ever want to do it. You're fasting, staying in doors and don't come on by the nobody on the bus. No, no, but I'm just saying.

28:14I'm eating my lunch. Yeah, but what's your problem? Because you're right next to me and I can... What's going on here? Do you think you'll be... Do you think you should have manners and not eat in silence? Go downstairs and leave the door. It's my door. Yeah. I can't stand on fasting. I can smell it. Ask your business. Stay in doors. What do you mean stay in doors? I need to go outside. When I'm fast, I don't go out. Stay in doors. Read your Bible. I'll keep quiet. Well, first, I don't read the Bible. Second of all. I mean, you're saying... And this is not a one-off. I hate to tell you this is not... I'm not picking just... Let's scour the internet and find the one place where someone's being harassed over this. This becomes very common. And there's an entitlement attitude. I mean, think about it. Even even at Christmas time here, which is probably what the last remaining religious holiday that everybody kind of acknowledges, it's a religious holiday. The store is no longer decorate like it. Everybody acknowledges Christmas

29:14and most stores close. Have you seen somebody try to fire bomb a Chinese kitchen? Because they stay open on Christmas? No. You know, you exhibit your faith and you live as you see fit. And you don't... I mean, somebody correct me if I'm wrong. You don't impose that on everybody else. I'm trying to think. And all intellectual objectivity here is really important. Is there something comparable that we do in the United States to people who are not of faith? I mean, even the blue laws, when I was growing up, I'm until my early teens, I guess, there were blue laws. Things weren't open on Sunday. Maybe the drugstore was open on Sunday, just so you could get medicine. Right? But that we got rid of the blue laws, because people didn't like it. So, I think that woman was pretty brave to say, you're fasting. I'm not fasting. Mind your own business. I'm going to have my lunch as I do every day. But did you hear this guy's very determined?

30:14Like, he doesn't have any concept that someone else might not approve of being told not to eat lunch. And I'm just telling you, and I keep mentioning, people are probably wondered, why did you spend hundreds of thousands of dollars traveling around the world? It's so that I can testify. In person, not just reading a book, not just watching the internet, this kind of thing happens frequently. And you've got to guard against it. I mean, that doesn't even seem like a little thing to me. That seems like a real imposition and an uncomfortable situation to put a young woman in or anybody in. And it's unacceptable. Like, shut your mouth. If you want to fast, you fast. Here's another example. In a restaurant. I mean, I don't know what, what are you doing in a restaurant if you're fasting, other than you're looking for trouble and you're trying to impose your views on other people. Right? In America, we don't do that.

31:14Right? Right? We take great umbrage when somebody tries to watch this video. How come you're reading books? It's Ramadan books. You're not reading books. It's Ramadan. It's not good. Ramadan. Museum? I know. You know, what? Yes, I know. And what. And what? It's the Ramadan. No, it's not the Ramadan. The Ramadan is not, uh... It's the Ramadan. And what? Is it going to be great? Is it going to be a big joke, huh? It'll be eating Ramadan, huh? That's crazy. That's unacceptable. And that's the kind of aggression you're going to start to see here. If we don't set some ground rules very clearly soon.

32:21And you know, I lived it. I had a great friend when I was living in the Middle East bodybuilder guy. Really good looking big. I mean, you've kind of intimidating guy. Almost my height. I'm six foot three. He was almost my big guy. I mean, you know, you wouldn't want to pick a fight with him because you just don't know. He's sweet as he could be a very nice person. So if you picked a fight with him, I don't think he would kill you. But he looked like he might be able to. People would go up to him in the gym. And they would assume that he was Muslim. Even with all of his muscles and work in it. And they would tell him that his tattoos were haram and that he should have the tattoos removed. And he would, in no uncertain terms, tell him to off. And that he's not Muslim and to get out of his face. But I'm just, I share that story with you because they're not even intimidated by someone who could kick their you know what? It is bizarre obligation and emboldenment to dictate to other people how they're supposed to live. Here's one more video. Now this one's a little more extreme. This is in Germany, which has in certain neighborhoods and certain cities been overrun and overtaken by Muslims again. If you want to live side by side and not tell people what to do, I'm okay with that.

33:44We're not, we're not ever going to agree on things, but I get along with people I disagree with or I try to all the time. So I'm not demanding that you live like me. Everybody doesn't have to be a white gay guy. Who is a Christian and is reminded constantly by evangelical Christians how horrible I am. Okay. I mean, you know, look, I'm in a very weird situation here where I call everybody out because I've experienced this abuse from everybody. But I have to point this out to you. This is what happens in Germany at the grocery store for people during ramen. What would you do?

34:47Oh yes. Here's one of these poor ladies supposed to do seriously, what are those ladies supposed to do? times does it take for something like that to happen in your business before you go oh my god I'm gonna have to adjust because I can't have this happen all the time. Imagine if that happened like once a week or twice in a row. I know a lot of people will be like oh hell no I would raise cam you know I would I would beat the hell out of him I did never see him again sure that's what you're saying you won't stand up to protect your you won't stand up to protect your children from crazy trans people in the locker room so spare me you're not gonna do anything we all know

35:47you're not gonna do anything you've proven for the last 10 years you're about as impotent this society is about as impotent as anything I've ever seen in my entire life uh when the riots were happening in 2020 antifa BLM nobody did anything our people didn't do a damn thing they could barely I was one of the few people who was bold enough to even talk about it much less go out and do anything about it uh so come on please don't act like you're some tough guys who are gonna stop this you've got to stop it before it gets to this point because based on what I've witnessed most people and maybe you're hiding out there maybe all the green berets and the tough military guys are are are just sitting there waiting for something to tell them they've got to intervene here you know it's like the guardian angels in New York who finally had enough of all the violence in New York and said we're taking over the streets ourselves and we're gonna we're

36:49gonna police the subway trains since the cops won't do it okay I give those guys credit they stepped up and God knows how much they had to engage with bad guys before there was a cell phone camera recording everything that happened that was kind of gutsy but when this starts happening in the United States and it's common it's it's it's common and it's we're beginning to see it happen what are you gonna do about it you need to be thinking about that are you going to allow your stores to be treated that way you're gonna allow your date to be harassed while you're eating in a fast food restaurant are you going to be harassed in public if you if it's Ramadan like it is right now and you're drinking water let me say again for the people who are now infuriated if you choose to celebrate Ramadan that's not my business it's your business I accept that it's your faith your your belief system I'm not trying to tell you what to do I'm drawing some lines you're

37:50not gonna tell me what to do you hear the difference you hear the difference you need to hear the difference you're not going to tell me what to do and I will respect what you do in your house and if we work together in an office and you are fasting cool totally fine with that but you're not going to tell me that I can't go to the kitchen or in my office or walking down the hall that I can't eat this is on you not on me I'm not adjusting to suit you and you can think it's rude or you can think it's religious bigger I don't care what you think I you're entitled to do it and until we get to that place I think we got a problem brewing that's gonna be really unpleasant and as someone who has already lived it on the other side of the planet I'm trying to alert you that this is a real concern and when you elect someone let me get back to Gazala Hashmi when

38:52you elect someone like Gazala Hashmi who side do you think she's gonna come down with for who you think she's gonna go against her people pretty big bat pretty big bat I wouldn't I wouldn't take it yeah I mean look she won't even talk to a reporter that I swear to you has the correspondence association said something about that they really should I know they're fearful that the Democrats are going to retaliate against them like Nick Minock I'm told that they treat him like dirt at the Capitol worst maybe not physically than that but they they won't talk to him they're trying to undermine him all the time it's great because he's got he's he's got lots of stories to do that are you know revealing their bad behavior but it's not like they're trying to be nice or fair and that it that demonstrates it journalists should be offended by that but see we're letting that attitude slot I don't know if I don't know if that attitude is just her being a total

39:56jerk which I'm told is who she is or whether that I don't know if that has anything to do with a religion I really don't she may just be a total jerk but this is a problem and we should be asking these questions why is it that I get asked a lot of unpleasant difficult intrusive rude questions which clearly rude questions but what we're not gonna talk to the person who did get elected and ask that person some questions that might be uncomfortable I think we got a problem on our hands want to sound the alarm we'll come back in just a second we do have a guest today we're gonna flip things up producer Dan joins us in just a couple of moments we'll take a look at the best of the internet when we return on this Tuesday morning of the read

41:12hello producer Dan hello hello how are you I'm good glad that you're here I know I talked a little while there so I want to get to the to the best of the internet selections that you have picked for us today and then we can end with Jerry mandering how about that how about that yeah exactly well I you know there was there was this one from from from over the weekend Adam shift made an appearance with Bill Maher on his show and and Bill Maher and Adam shift we're talking about Iran and and Maher asked Adam shift a question about presidential authority and and latitude in these situations and I thought this was very interesting it wasn't very long but but just about 20 seconds worth that I think it's worth everybody's time so I'll play that really fast at this statement from the administration the president had the constitutional authority to direct the use of military force because he could reasonably determine that such use of force was in the national interest that's too vague for you totally vague okay because that's from Obama

42:17about about Libya yep switch it up on him said oh no that was actually no bomb a quote there I mean we we need to show this because it does demonstrate the intellectual dishonesty of the modern Democrat party look if you're if you're one of these people I mean I think Tim Cain has lost it but I'll say Tim Cain has largely been consistent about how he thinks the Congress should be directing foreign policy I don't think that's true I don't think that the con I mean the Congress is dysfunctional the Congress can't produce a budget for the country so look if we're dependent on the Congress to manage the day-to-day foreign policy and the conflicts around the world we're done as a country because they we don't agree and they are dysfunctional so I think it's a nice idea

43:18if we had any more commonality that the Congress would weigh in on a real war not an in not a military strike which is different than a war but you know you guys have proven you can't you can't do the basics of your job so quite frankly I'm not willing to be nuked by Iran because Tim Cain and his friends want to play politics with that or Adam Schiff's senator Schiff yeah it really is interesting to see how how the positions changed depending on who's who's who's in office and who's saying what I think we've seen that with regard to immigration for sure over the last 30 years that I'm actually waiting for a week or so to play a Chuck Schumer clip on the 30th anniversary of that that clip it's just a show the difference 30 years makes for Chuck Schumer on the subject of immigration but yeah okay yeah it's literally March 19th of 1996 so I said well the 30th

44:24anniversary of that that clip will play that on March 19th of 2026 so yeah what else you got today let's let's we have to run in a minute here because I think our guest is waiting but we have a new a new trans individual who wants to introduce himself to the world so I thought I'd let him do that here on on the read revolution this morning here we go it was really easy to choose Lenny name when I first came out phase just an abbreviation of my dead name it just really worked for me and it was easy for everyone to get used to so it totally just made sense my middle name wasn't as easy to work out until I remembered that my brother had the voice does not match the body does it and I had taken the middle name off my German granddad so when I came to German granddad would be so proud I decided along with my parents that I would take the middle name of one of my grandmothers it was just such a beautiful and touching moment for all of us in honesty I never really like my old

45:24middle name too much but my new middle name is really special okay I mean see one of the reasons I think it's important that we share this is I don't think you don't know what your kids are seeing on the internet you know if you're if you're on tiktok or you're on Instagram presumably your algorithm doesn't take you to freak show stuff like that and you know forgive me that's a freak show that's that guy would be in a touring circus a hundred years ago if he if he was even I mean you've just got to be so mentally screwed up in the head to wind up presenting yourself to the public that way um I just inconceivable to me when what what his job is does he have a job you think you know who that is producer Dan do we Wal-Mart greeter nobody I mean listen if that met me in Wal-Mart I'd be out the door going the other way I wouldn't have I just no target when

46:27someone demonstrates visually immediately that they're a total whack job crazy I'm just not dealing with him anymore I'm just not because I've tried I've tried being the nice person who would be friendly with someone trying to understand and it never works out the right way you're always you always wind up being the bad guy somehow so my attitude has completely changed maybe this is not very Christian of me but I'm not dealing with those people and I would advise other people don't deal with those people that is someone who is telling you like a like a yellow snake with fangs I am dangerous and I'm out of my mind and crazy um that's but this is what your kids are seeing every single day this is this is what your husband's seeing this is what potentially your wife is this I mean this is insanity and this is the problem with the internet like I said at the beginning of the show you have this resource which could have elevated human

47:31intellect collectively in a way that nothing in the history of mankind is ever done and this is what it's deteriorated into not universally I'm I'm sure there are people who are watching 60 minute uh uh college classes about the Roman Empire and you know educating themselves on that but this is I think this is more of the direction of the internet than the other do you yeah yeah sadly yeah you have a punch the monkey update or I I don't for today and we probably don't have time anyway okay the other monkeys are lying low now that punches uh gone mr. Miyagi on their bus today so but I'll have a punch update for us tomorrow for sure or punch the monkey or punch but yes is that at my algorithm every day it's 10 videos of poor punch the monkey and you know people are waiting three hours to see punch the monkey at the zoo in Japan while the monkey's waiting

48:32in line people wait hours people love the punch so yeah all right well yes producer Dan let's talk about the media coverage here and call out some of the bad behavior uh we'll talk to the president CEO of mediapedia when we return on the read revolution back on this Tuesday morning on the read revolution I'm John Reed let's take a look at how some of the media is covering what is happening in Iran I mean it's a horrible situation

49:37Caitlin Collins of CNN surprise surprise had this synopsis of how this whole thing got start week since this war with Iran has been underway the deadliest incident of civilian casualties was a strike that happened on an elementary school in southern Iran that killed scores of children tonight a CNN analysis of that attack reveals evidence suggesting that the United States military was likely responsible for it what you're about to see is disturbing I want to warn you the United States says it's still under investigation but this was the scene at the school just after the strikes one week ago nearly CNN has not independently confirmed the death toll but Iranian health officials and state media believe that at least 168 children and 14 teachers were killed our analysis which is based on satellite imagery geo-located videos and the assessment of munitions experts suggest that this school is hit around the same time that an attack that American forces had launched on a neighboring Iranian naval base this new satellite image shows several

50:39revolutionary guard buildings near the all-girl school you can see how close they are and read you can see the craters at the center of the structures including the school and what experts say look like precision strikes a wall marked by that dotted line there is all that separates the school in this base okay I don't know if that's true or not you know I lived in the Middle East and they lie constantly and they set their own people up for death because they then become martyrs and the reaction of their population is different than the reaction of our population we don't seek out and idolize death and in the Middle East there's a very different attitude being a martyr is a great thing in their mind we just hard for Westerners to understand that but we have a siop a psychological operation happening in our own backyard to try to soften up the resolve of the people of the United States would we if we went combed the CNN archives would we see

51:43that they have been very concerned about the human rights abuses for 47 years that Iran has been responsible for where's the two-minute story on that that indicates why maybe this is a good thing to get rid of the eye at all Christine Cherneyevsky is the president's CEO of media media and Christine I appreciate you joining us what's your reaction when you see something like that from Caitlin Collins and other national reporters yeah well you're absolutely right I think you put it very well that the public only gets one side of the story and and that is that they haven't seen the death and the destruction of the Iranian regime I mean they hang their own people in city streets but we don't see a lot of those images and it's interesting how they've covered the supreme leader the death of the supreme leader Qwani obituaries in both the New York Times and the Washington Post called him an avuncular figure it's almost like they got on Snapchat and

52:45decided to use this euthamistic phrase for someone who murdered thousands of his own citizens and it does a real disservice to the American public when they're not seeing this what the truth is which is this regime has been deadly against its own people and has committed severe human rights abuses for decades you mentioned the the obituary and of course there were those who threw up the obituary for Rush Limbaugh which was not exactly polite or nice about Rush Limbaugh when he died Charlie Kirk's assassination not exactly nice or you know cleaning up his reputation and I think he was wrongly maligned wonder wonder why editors and writers at the New York Times and the Washington Post would use that language and could they back it up I mean I I'm unaware of videos of the Ayatollah handing out food to people or dressing up like Santa Claus and arriving

53:52at the school to to be fun with the kids I mean there's just nothing about these individuals that I think would give them even the slightest hey you don't know the whole story about their personality and in fact that's why they're the supreme religious leader of the country where does this come from why does nobody call it out Christine well it just shows you I think how far left the extreme left has become that they're more likely to sympathize and prop up these aggressors in hot spots around the globe then then call it out for what it really is I think we've seen this in regimes around the globe and particularly in areas where things go under reported like we've seen in parts of Africa where you know Christians are persecuted and that doesn't really get the coverage that it deserves I think it comes from the Ivy League that's where it starts

54:53where you've got these ultra liberal professors who I think live in a alternative reality and are so far removed from what's actually happening on the ground in the real lives that people live we've just seen this play out in the streets of New York City over the weekend where you've had people who were two different sets of protesters one who was anti-Muslim and the others who were pro-Muslim and but really the protests against the West what mattered if it's the people who the two teenagers who had these IEDs and threw them into the crowd of protesters now the media coverage of that has been very chaotic very confusing the focus should be on the two teenagers who basically tried to murder Americans and yet it's kind of being covered like a regular crime story instead of an alarming possibility that we've got sleeper cells and newly radicalized

55:59individuals in our midst and and maybe we should be alarmed about that they're I think they're very deliberately trying to insulate the normal reaction of the American public towards people who might be hostile to them it's it's an odd choice unless you have chosen sides here and I'm used to people choosing America as the side they're going to be on if they have to make a choice. We almost have to come to that conclusion because not only were they they were barely even covering it as a crime. CNN just had a story that almost treated these two teenagers as if this was some sort of poetic thing that they were doing where they were I think the the words they used were that they took the route to New York City that thousands take and they could have been spent the their day and doing an unusually warm afternoon but instead and hour later they found themselves arrested that is not how you should cover a terrorist incident whatsoever now

57:05about less than an hour ago CNN just took that post down because they acknowledged that it didn't reflect the severity of the situation so the media coverage really does one conflate what's really going on but two conflates it so that whatever the case it's sympathetic to whatever the progressive far left cause is and that's what we're trying to call out at mediapedia.org which is the organization that I run we rate reporters based on their bias and time and time again we're seeing that these legacy media outlets no surprise have reporters that all lean left you do not see any right leaning reporters and not even many reporters who are in the center that come from these organizations. Are there are there any left I mean Laura Logan I think she had a wake-up call when she was sexually molested and abused in the Middle East and now she is kind of on her own

58:10because if I'm remembering correctly CBS got got rid of her if I remember her there was a parting of of that alignment you know a lot of these reporters when they do have that epiphany or they reveal that they're not aligned with the left on everything suddenly their contracts not renewed and they're they're really they're only hope to the same level of fame and fortune that they were hoping for one of the big networks is to go two fox news or perhaps to news max or news nation where there's a little bit of money and fame still involved in this or they just are you seeing the pattern that these people are purged. I think a lot of them find they're so restricted at these organizations that they end up going off on their own doing their own podcasts doing their own substacks sites and we've seen journalists like Matt Taiibi Glenn Greenwald and Michael Schellenberger and then you know podcasts host like Megan Kelly who went off on their own and they've been able

59:13to exercise a lot of freedom and they can themselves share one you know where they lean on stories and be very transparent about it I know Megan Kelly yourself has said what her biases which is great people know where she's coming from that's being honest what people don't like is when reporters lie about their ideological perspective but pretend that they're in the center and so I you know it's discouraging as it continues to be that corporate media is basically an extension of the democratic party our media ecosystem is large and I think ripe for those who are independent and want to share perspectives that Americans don't get from corporate media yeah it is interesting though the money is the the big thing you know Megan Kelly walked out of NBC when her

1:00:14show didn't do well at the today show with I mean just a huge what was it 30 million dollars something crazy that she wound up as a as the golden parachute to leave when the show didn't do as well as they had hoped so hey I'd love to fail and get that kind of money and I like Megan Kelly I'm not putting her down Glenn Beck same deal made a fortune at CNN and an even bigger fortune at Fox and fortunately these people do seem to reinvest that money into endeavors that might amplify conservative expression and they've empowered other people who else would you identify as a leader in that movement the podcast movement I think is just chock full of people who have gone out their own and found real freedom I know we you know we've mentioned Megan Kelly but there are so many others and you know look at someone like Joe Rogan

1:01:15who has I wouldn't call him a journalist but he was able to appeal to a massive audience because he tells what you know he feels is his his perspective based on his life experiences again that goes to authenticity I think I think people who are good at that format the podcast format and can do long-converting conversations and have compelling insights are poised to do to do very well lucratively and I think also in the process are doing a great job for discourse in our country as well maybe this is a bad question to ask and you can pun if you want to who's the worst if you compiled that list and who who you would rank as the the most biased the most bigoted anti-conservative media figure out there well I certainly have my thoughts on who might fit that list I do

1:02:17want to say just on behalf of media media we are rating legacy reporters we're starting we're prioritizing those who claim to be center but they're not and so we haven't gotten yet because we've we've existed for about a year we will rate others you know on the right on the left so what I can say about corporate media figures reporters is that they do lean left my own thoughts on the worst offenders are pretty much all of CNN MS now at least though at MS now you know you know that you're gonna get it but it's it's hard to watch them because they just are so so progressive and in my mind often are making just making things up yeah the the leftist movement has found their mouthpieces and and there's a lot of money behind it which is the other

1:03:23thing that's really remarkable the the people we've referenced to Glenn back and and Megan and to a certain extent Joe Rogan I mean Joe Rogan was famous for a lot of other things before he started his podcast it's almost like you have to hit a certain level of fame in order to transfer that over to have an audience where you can talk to those with an exception of somebody like Nick Shirley who went out and broke this story in Minnesota about the leering center and you know a lot of people were paying attention to that type of of journalism which apparently everybody else in Minnesota just completely ignored and I suspect if they're ignoring a Minnesota they're ignoring it a lot of other places as a former TV reporter and Richmond I keep looking for someone who's an enterprising reporter to go well if they were doing in Minnesota do we have leering centers in Richmond do we have old folks homes that are getting you know Medicaid payments but there's nobody in the I I haven't seen those stories I'd be curious to know whether they're gonna do it

1:04:28let's say old school what we now would call old school reporting what it used to be is you know you get the people who would go to the county courthouse go to the county jail talk to the sheriff's go into neighborhoods you know what we would call leather shoe reporting I we're we're really missing out on that in this day and age and and that's the kind of reporting that Nick Shirley was doing clearly we're missing that clearly we need more of it um you know our hope should be that media outlets you know wake up to that fact that uh there's a lot to cover out there there's a lot of potential you know fraud and government that clearly Nick Shirley uh exposed and part of that has to do with um the fact that local media the local media landscape has been completely decimated there's just not funding there anymore for local media the way there used to be and

1:05:28and I think that you know if we can revitalize local media that we will get that type of reporting again it's interesting Christine there's one elected official in Virginia who used law fair to go after the person the the reporters that were investigating her and she basically told them all I'm going to sue the hell out of you and the corporate entities all back down because they didn't want the lawsuit and I suspect uh we're one scratch away from discovering a great deal of corruption with this individual who's an elected official but nobody wants to touch it uh because they they just the court the corporate people are not willing to fund the lawsuit to defend themselves and you know at this stage I think it's probably hidden it's really important to um be critical not just of elected officials but the people who are covering them are you are you covering them fairly are you being aggressive or not I'll check out media media and I appreciate you joining us Christine

1:06:34thank you very much and so much for having me all right uh listen we got to go uh I am about to go out and give a speech uh on the gerrymandering plan the illegal gerrymandering scheme that the democrats are trying to jam down everybody's throats so I got to go a little earlier than we normally would but I think this is really important to talk to people around the state and tomorrow morning I'll be in northern Virginia because I've got remarks with a group of business leaders up in northern Virginia who you know it's good they're focused on their business they're trying to grow their business that's good for Virginia it's good for them but they need to be aware of this conniving plan that the democrats have uh misled everybody on and you can vote now between now in April 21st I would encourage you please to do your own research you don't have trust me but I would encourage you to do your own research and then I am voting no on this I don't think this is right um I think it's a deliberate betrayal of representative democracy and there's nothing fair

1:07:41about this at all the democrats have broken the law you know what are to even bring this issue to the voters so vote no between now and April 21st I'd encourage you to do some research and I'll be speaking all over the state in the next few weeks between now and that election day to try to encourage people to pay attention and hopefully they'll reach the same conclusion that I have that this is a real betrayal of the people of the commonwealth of Virginia by our elected officials so we'll pick this up tomorrow morning on the read revolution I hope you have a great Tuesday
