0:00It's April 15th. Welcome to Sydney News Today, powered by AI. I'm Corey with the story. Police in South Australia, nabbed a 36-year-old man for stealing over $12,000 worth of fuel through repeated drive-offs, mostly, up in Adelaide's north. The culprit allegedly used a silver Mazda SUV, decked out with fake plates and a big tank in the back, hitting as many as 20 stations from late. December through mid-April, grabbing unleaded for the car or diesel for the tank. These weren't random hits cops, called them planned and risky, endangering the driver and everyone else on the road with some single thefts topping $1,000. After tracking the vehicle, officers showed up at the owner's place in two wells last night, seized the Mazda along with extra plates and slapped him. With three theft charges, expecting more to come. He faces court in Elizabeth Magistrates on May 29th, as police warn of a bigger wave of fuel grabs in Adelaide tied to that Middle East.
1:01Conflict spiking prices. Stay sharp out there folks.
