Man Shot in Midfield Gas Station Altercation

0:00Reporting from the Daily News now, I'm Corey with the latest in Birmingham. Police in midfield are investigating a shooting at a local gas station that left one man wounded Tuesday night. It happened during an altercation between the victim and a woman at the pop-in and out on the 5,300 block of Bessimer Super. Highway. Officers rushed to the scene shortly after 8.30pm, following reports of gunfire. They found the man suffering from a gunshot wound, and the woman's still there. The victim was rushed to UAB hospital in Birmingham, but details on how serious his injuries are have not been released yet. The woman was taken into custody without any trouble. Interim police chief Michael Jeffries says the probe is still in its very early stages, with no other information shared so far.
