Man Sentenced for Estranged Wife's Murder

Alireza Asgari, 42, stabbed 37-year-old Paria Vasey to death on April 12, 2025 in the conservatory of there. Former home in Pennyland, he buried her body in a shallow grave in the garden where a pond once stood. Asgari admitted the killing back in January, and the court heard it was premeditated, at least the month ahead. He lured her to the house after she finished work as a hairdresser, attacking her within minutes of her arrival. His aunt, 48-year-old Mariam Delivery, rushed from London to help cover it up by assisting with the burial and cleanup she got five years, and six months for perverting justice. The judge called it a cold-blooded murder, slamming Asgari for faking mental health issues to dodge blame. Paria's family shared heartbreaking statements about their shattered lives, describing her as innocent and beloved, with one sister recalling there.
