Man's Violent Shoplifting Spree Ends in Jail

0:00On April 20th, a 44-year-old man named Sunny Wormsby just got locked up for hitting a Nottingham Sainsbury store four times, swiping goods, worth nearly 300 pounds. The guy had no fixed address and kept targeting the same spot on Castle Bridge Road, scanning items that self-check out like he was paying, then bolting. It all came to a head on April 3rd, around 3pm. He grabbed a basket, loaded up, faked the scan, bagged it, and tried to dip out without dropping cash. Security stepped up to challenge him right there. That's when things turned wild. He got violent with staff. Lucky for them, off-duty cop PC Ross Morgan was shopping and jumped in, helping pin Wormsby down for about 15 minutes till backup rolled up. Morgan even took a hand injury in the mix. Fast forward to court, Wormsby copped to 4th F counts, plus resisting an officer. Much hit him with 4 weeks behind bars and made him pay compensation to cover the losses.
