Man Killed in Barnsley Crash, Suspects Arrested

0:00On April 4th, a 45-year-old man died after getting hit by a Volkswagen Toreg while walking in Barnsley's Cutworth area on Friday. Police arrested a 60-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman on suspicion of murder, and both are still in custody. The crash happened around 4.55 pm on Rose Tree Avenue, where emergency crews rushed to the scene. The victim's family has been notified and is getting support from officers right now. Chief Chief Inspector Simon Cartwright says the probe is just getting started, with thoughts going out to the family and friends first. Police are piecing together what went down and want anyone with details to come forward, either directly or anonymously through Crime Stoppers, while the crime scene stays locked down for more checks.
