Man Jailed for Online Grooming Attempt

Over 13 days, he sent explicit messages and arranged to meet her at Victoria Coach Station on September 27 last year. He planned to take her to a hotel and discussed using protection during sex. When he showed up, police arrested him right away and searched his bag. They found a bottle of whiskey, snacks, and a washbag pointing to his intentions. In court, the judge called it Grotesque Exploitation, noting Chumaru's age and the clear planning involved. His lawyer highlighted his prior good character and family ties in the UK, but he admitted to arranging child sexual activity and related. Chumaru must serve 40% of his sentence in custody and faces indefinite sex offender
