Man Convicted for Banned Dog's Fatal Attack

The attack happened on February 24th last year in Warrington, Cheshire, when McColle wandered on to Garner's driveway. The dog, named Toretto, mauled him badly, and McColle died from his injuries about a month later. Garner had already admitted to possessing the ban male Excel bully and another female of the same breed without the required exemption certificate. He denied the main charge of the dog being dangerously out of control, but the jury didn't buy it after hearing how the animal savaged McColle like.
