In Durham today, March 16th, a double shooting in a Justin County home early Saturday left a 41-year-old woman dead and her 18-year-old son wounded in what. Authorities call a domestic incident. Deputies charged the woman's boyfriend, 41-year-old Jerry Ross Williams, with murder, attempted first-degree murder and possessing a firearm as a felon. When deputies arrived, they heard gunshots and saw the teen jump from a second-story window. He had been shot once and told first responders that his mother's boyfriend fired at both of them. The sheriff's office confirmed those details on Monday. Princess Russell was pronounced dead at the scene while her son was rushed to a hospital for treatment. Williams allegedly used a lock handgun and his address matches the home on Valleyfield Drive. Williams has a history of violent crime, including guilty pleas in 2003 for armed robberies from a 2002 carjacking in Wake County. He served nearly eight years in prison, got out in September 2010, and finished parole
the next year. Since then, he faced only a minor domestic violence charge in 2012. As of Monday afternoon, he's locked up in Justin County jail, without bail. This episode is proudly sponsored by our partner, headphones in a pillow, simple idea, surprisingly addictive, S-O-L-I, solely pillow.com.
