Man Charged with Murder after Battersea Stabbing

0:00On March 11th, a 46-year-old man faces a murder charge after a fatal stabbing near Battersea power station in Nine Elms. Asher Edwards is accused of killing 25-year-old Thai folks on March 2nd during an altercation on Thessaly Road. Officers arrived around 6-12 pm to find Thai critically injured. Paramedics rushed him to a hospital, but he passed away soon after. Edwards was arrested in Birmingham on March 9th and charged the next day. He appeared in court this morning. Thai's family is heartbroken, describing him as a caring son, brother and friend with big dreams ahead. Specialist officers are supporting them through this tough time. Two other men arrested for attempted murder, plus a 21-year-old man and 32-year-old woman held for assisting an offender have all. Been released on bail. Police continue gathering evidence in the area and urge witnesses from around 5.45 to 6.20 pm that day to come forward with any details or dash cam footage. The investigation presses on as the community awaits justice.
