From the Daily News Now Network, this is Birmingham News Today, a 32-year-old man faces charges of domestic violence strangulation in Baldwin County after an attack on his wife. Late Monday and Foley, Daniel Hernandez Lopez allegedly tried to choke her during a fight. He got booked into jail the next day. The couple's 13-year-old son stepped in to protect his mom. When Hernandez Lopez turned on the boy, the kid fought back hard, punching him until he passed out. Hernandez Lopez is not a United States citizen, though it's not clear about his immigration status. A judge said his bond at $30,000, but the sheriff has to approve it first. He's presumed innocent until proven guilty, and the case moves forward in court.
