Man Banned for 23 Months After Drunk Driving

Behind the wheel, Anthony Mirou was almost four times over the alcohol limit when he swerved into a one-way sign endangering other drivers. Officers stopped him just before midnight on Friday, January 16th, a long winter-stoke road. His reckless moves included ignoring junctions and veering onto the pavement before pulling over. The breath test revealed 136 milligrams of alcohol per 100 milliliters of breath, far exceeding the legal limit of 35 milligrams. The officer on scene noted it as one of the highest readings he'd encountered, with driving that clearly matched the level of intoxication. On Tuesday, February 24th, Bristol Crown Court handed down the ban after his guilty plea, along with fines and costs totaling 700, 32 pounds, and a 261-pound victim search charge.
