Man Arrested for Child Exploitation, Stalking in Wake County

Jay Monney Collins was taken into custody by the Sheriff's Office on multiple counts related to child exploitation and stalking behaviors. The incident began Friday evening around 8.20pm when a deputy responded to a trespassing report at a home in Eastern Wake County. The suspect had already left the scene by the time help arrived. Meanwhile, Collins returned to the area while the deputy was still on sight, leading to his quick detention, officials acted fast to secure him without further issues. He now faces six counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, along with one count each of cyber stalking, harassing phone calls, and misdemeanor stalking. These charges highlight a pattern of troubling online and direct harassment. The Sheriff's Office has not released additional details about the case or the victim. Collins remains in custody as the investigation continues.
