Man Arrested After Trout Lake Shooting

0:00A 26-year-old man from Trout Lake is spacing serious firearms charges after cops responded to reports of shots fired early on March 31st. That morning around 7.24am, Red Earth Creek RCMP got calls about gunfire in the area, including one from a friend hold up in his house because someone was blasting a rifle at a nearby spot. Brothers rolled into Trout Lake by 8.45am, locked down the scene and called out the suspect, who gave himself up just before 11am. He's hit with charges like careless use of a firearm, possessing a weapon for dangerous purposes, no license for the gun, and blocking police. After a bail hearing, he stuck in custody until his court date on April 7th and Grande Prairie, way up north about 500 kilometers from. Limitant situations contained for now, but has shipped a small community.
