On March 6th, Transport for London has announced major closures on the underground this weekend. March 7th and 8th. The entire Hammersmith and City Line will be shut down for track work, with no service at all on Saturday and Sunday. Parts of the circle, district, and metropolitan lines will also face disruptions in key sections like between Edgewear Road and High Street Kensington, or Baker Street and All Game. The Piccadilly Line is closing, too, from cockfosters to Uxbridge, as part of upgrades bringing new trains, better tracks, and improved CCTV ad, platforms. Services will still run between Actantown and Heathrow, but expect the northern and Victoria lines to get much busier as passengers switch over. Commuters should plan for longer journeys and use alternative two routes or local buses where possible. Overground services space hits as well, including no trains on the wind rush line between Highbury and Islington, and New Cross Gate on both days, and other sections like
Sidenham to Crystal Palace on Saturday. Meanwhile, the DLR will have closures for testing new trains, with replacement buses covering spots like Stratford International to Woolwich Arsenal. Elizabeth Line and Trams are affected, too, plus Tim's Link skipping stations or canceling services between St. Pancras and London Bridge on Sunday.
