0:00Hey, it's Corey with Entertainment and Celebrity News. Today, your daily pop culture update, Bill Mahar used his latest HBO show to set the record straight about a White House dinner he had with President Donald Trump back in March 20, 25. The comedian pushed back against Trump's claims that he begged for the invite, saying a mutual friend set it up, and he wasn't nervous at all about. They spent three hours together, chatting like regular people over drinks. Mahar admitted he enjoyed himself that night, having a drink beforehand and more during the meal. He said Trump opened up about his accomplishments and feeling underappreciated by critics like him. For a while, it felt genuine, without the usual public personas getting in the way. Right after dinner, though, things heated up with the string of text messages. Trump accused Mahar of still being part of the lunatic left. Mahar fired back playfully, joking about Emmys and Nobel Prizes, leading to some back and forth arguing.

1:02Trump wrapped it up by telling Mahar not to change, saying he wouldn't know what to do with him if he did. Mahar doesn't see the evening as a waste, noting Trump came across as a normal guy when they broke bread. Even so, Mahar called out Trump as racist, misogynistic, anti-democratic, and corrupt during the show. He pointed out the big difference, he can admit when he's wrong while Trump sticks to name calling. Special thanks to our sponsor for supporting this episode.
