M60 Crash Causes Massive Delays

Soon after, the vehicle was moved to the hard shoulder, but long delays stretched from Junction 11 at Liverpool Road, all the way to Junction, 12 at the Eccles Interchange. Congestion even reached back to Junction 7 at Carrington and the Travert Center. Eye witnesses reported massive queues snaking for miles, frustrating commuters who faced hours of standstill traffic. Officials urged everyone to skip the area and find other routes, adding extra time to any trips through there. Follow-up reports showed 10-minute delays hanging around for a while, but things started clearing up as the evening went on. By late afternoon, the worst was over, with delays easing off completely and traffic finally moving freely again.
