M6 & M60 Crashes Cause Massive Delays

0:00On April 8th, drivers on the M6 and M60 are hitting massive delays during rush hour after two separate crashes this morning, April 8th. An overturned Lori blocked everything early on, and another incident shut down lanes nearby. Earlier this week, no, this morning around 6am, that Lori flipped on the Fellwall Viaduct near Warnton on the M6. Traffic came to a full stop at first, but now two lanes are back open while two stay closed for cleanup. Meanwhile, cues stretch all the way back to Junction 24 at Ashton in Makerfield, with backups spilling onto the M6 too as drivers try to. Merge, folks are reporting hours lost just sitting there, turning commutes into nightmares. Over on the M60, anti-clockwise at Barton Bridge between Junction's 11 at Eccles and 10 near the Trafford Center, police are handling a welfare. Check for someone, only one lanes open as they investigate. Conditions are shifting slowly, with partial lane re-opening, but expect those tail backs to linger.
