0:00On April 21st, LSU basketball just snagged its first transfer portal commit of the season. Kansucky forward, Mohamed Du Bhattay is heading to Baton Rouge to play for Will Wade. This dropped Monday evening, courtesy of on-3 reporter Joe Tipton. Way to go over LSU to build an SEC powerhouse, but the Tigers have stayed low key in the portal until now. DuBase move could spark a busy week of pickups as they ramp up the roster. He's got solid SEC chops, coming off Alabama before Kentucky. Last season with the Wildcats, he put up 8.8 points and 5.5 rebounds per game across plenty of minutes. As 6 foot 7, DuBae brings size for the pain, but moves well enough on the wing too. He's logged over 100 career games against top competition, which LSU desperately needs in the rebuild. On-3 ranks him number 55 overall in the portal, and number 5 among small forwards. This is a strong opening move that sets the tone for Wade Squad aiming high in the SEC.
