I'm Tony Goodman here as always with Tom or Tom. How's it going? Tony, the best podcasts they say are the ones they never see coming, but they're best podcasts because this is you and I parted ways, I don't know, five hours ago, four hours ago, and it was like, well, that was a long day. Thank goodness that's over. We'll go home and just watch and nice relaxing Michigan win over Western Michigan and get lots of work done and it will be great. Tony, I have stopped like 2,000 photos to edit from the Ohio State game today. Here we are doing an emergency podcast, but not the emergency podcast we thought we would be doing one second before the game ended. Yeah, no, and I was just watching. They were just showing a replay of the first Hail Mary that went out of bounds and with no time left, but it's like if the Western Michigan guy just doesn't touch it, it's the clock runs out, but because apparently he touched it from jumping out of the back of the end zone, they found a second.

Does this make up for was a time keeper Bob, Spartan Bob? Spartan Bob, yeah. This is a weird combination of Spartan Bob that won was it was what the Nebraska, Texas, big 12 championship game, right? There was that one where they said the ball hit the railing or something like that and then the kick six was another one and but it was also kind of shades. It was the other end zone with the two shades of cordel Stewart and Michael Westbrook. It was like a little bit of a pastiche Tony of so many great moments in college football history. Well, and as I was tweeting before that last Hail Mary of Michigan wins this, this is going to be one of the great wins in school history. And Tony, Tony Michigan stormed the field for beating an in-state Mac team. Exactly. And they're reacting and you know what? That's fine. I am not going to be the field storming police like college football, it's supposed to be fun. That's fine. And so this is kind of like our conversation earlier today where Ohio State is struggling

to run the ball and they rip off a couple of long ones and everything's fixed. It's like Michigan was on the precipice of a horrific loss and Western Michigan is a good team. But then they come away with a win and it's like in three weeks they're going to be whatever the record is and this is going to be a win and nobody's going to think about it. Now if Oklahoma comes to town and runs through them next week, it's going to be like, well, we knew that was going to happen based on what we just saw the week before. But Western Michigan didn't have a particularly good game. They were able to churn and churn and churn but it's not like that a great performance either. This was just a bad Michigan performance. When you've got Saviom Heider, like five for 15, Andrew Marsh, two for 15 catches, like those two guys are not involved at all and we know they are very, very skilled. And boy, Jason Beck has some work to do as the offensive coordinator of the over at Michigan. Yeah, this was all year, you kept hearing, you know, Bryce Underwood, he's really getting

better and they've had 13 practices and they had 13 good practices and it was kind of like, okay, I mean, you're hearing it very consistently and we're not, we get to watch Ohio State practice and we talk to people around the Ohio State program quite a bit. We generally, generally, he's a pretty good sense for, here's what's real and here's not with Michigan. It's kind of like, I mean, everyone's saying it. So I guess, but you watch the spring game and it was kind of like, nope, not saying it yet, but I don't know. Maybe it's going to be in there somewhere. So maybe it'll come out at some point. And then boy, I was listening to the first drive on the radio on the way home from the Ohio State game and they're just going boom, boom, boom, right down the field and J.J. Who can and just having a huge first drive and then they bogged down right in the red, right inside like the 10 and it was like, that was a little weird, but you know, they scored so it's fine. I'm sure they'll be fine. And that was the end of the scoring until literally the last play of the game for them. It was, as you said, it wasn't that Western Michigan played that well.

Michigan just kind of didn't do much. They just, they couldn't, the offensive line was not very good. The running game was not very good, you know, especially, I mean, say Ben Hadier to your point didn't, didn't do a whole heck of a lot. Jordan Marshall, 11 carriers for 44 yards, pretty unspectacular. Andrew Marsh was kind of a non factor. Didn't he have a turnover? Remembering that right? He had a, muffed point. Yeah, he had a muffed point at one point. It just, it was a really unimpressive performance all game and you look at the yards per play and it looks like it should look. They 5.8 to 3.3. They outgain him not quite two to one, but close to two to one. You look at that just the yards per play and it's like, oh, well, okay, so Michigan controlled it, but it was a little sloppy, but it was, you know, but it was okay. But they just, they, it was, it was really bad. Like I'm listening to the, I just said, I said, I was in the car listening to the, like

the pregame show and then the opening of the game. And on the pregame show, how, uh, winning him's talking about, well, you know, we just we have to not, we have to be sound and not make mistakes and not, you know, not, not shoot ourselves in the foot and it was just like three straight hours of them shooting themselves in the foot. Well, and that first drive that you're talking about, I, you know, I don't know if Jason Beck scripts the plays, but they marched right down and then they got into like the five or whatever and then they, they, they've been spreading the ball out and running a spread off fence and new stuff and then they get inside, inside the tent and they immediately remove the receivers and bring in tight ends and go heavy. And they just run up the middle, run up the middle, run up the middle. And then finally they get a touchdown. And it was like this, that was my first hint that, you know, I would, I would prefer, it would have preferred to see more from Jason Beck, his creativity there because then it's like they went off script and well, now we got to do our, our heavy package because we're inside the five and it's like, you don't have to, you can keep things spread out. You've got a bunch of athletes that can knife through a defense rather than you know

what, let's get those athletes out of here and let's just try to pound and the more physical team when it came to running the ball was Western Michigan and they were able to get three, four yards of carry and you look at their numbers and they had a long rush. I believe 11 yards and 132 carat rushes, 132 yards on 46 carries and there's some sacks in there. 2.9 yards for carry for Western Michigan, along of 11 yards, but they were able to control the ball, 40 minutes of time of possession and you know, they had some decent, like there were times where Western Michigan was controlling the line of scrimmage offensively, which is a concern because I think maybe the best thing that we saw from Michigan in this game was their front seven, particularly Dominic Nichols, the defensive and Troy Boles, that linebacker. Troy Boles was really good. Yeah, a couple tackles for loss and he was kind of a wrecking ball in there,

but man, this is, you're feeling complete relief about the win, but you know, earlier today, we're talking with Ohio State fans about a 56 to 3 win and the most popular topic, the main topic was the offensive line not getting a push. I wonder what the main topic here is and how much money you got to get more more out of Savion Heiter and six touches in this game. Legend Bay granted, the games were very different, but I bet legend Bay is getting six touches into close game against Western Michigan too. Well, yeah, I was very surprised because Heiter, someone who even, I mean, going back to the spring, that was someone who you just consistently heard about how good he had been looking. So I was expecting him to be, you know, split carries with Jordan Marshall and be getting, and he, you know, the Western Michigan, we've talked about this multiple times

this week. We talked about this on the pre-game show on our show. We talked about this in the post-game show after the Ohio State game. Western Michigan and Ball State, they're both Mac teams. They are not the same. They are not the same thing at all. Western Michigan is, they, SP Plus had them three touchdowns better than Ball State, but having watched those two teams today, I think the gap might be bigger than that, but it's, you know, this is, this is not, they played, they played the same team that Ohio State did and this is an apples to apples thing, but you should be able to run the ball against Western Michigan at least a little bit because that's what you hang your hat on. You know, you watched, you watched Michigan even in the, you know, as they're getting the ball down 12-7, it was like they weren't necessarily looking for Bryce Underwood or maybe it was the drive before that. They're, they're down in the fourth quarter, the time's running down and like they're, they're running the ball and it was kind of like, I don't know if they trust him to throw the ball and like I get it, you watch the game and it's like, yeah, I get it. But then the offensive line wasn't great. The running backs

weren't great and they, you know, J.J. Buchanan is, let's, let's make a list of the high, highlights for Michigan on offense. J.J. Buchanan and they won the game. Yeah. It's kind of about it. Yeah, and you know, I'm not, Tom, I don't want to shoot my own horn, but five minutes before the game was over, I did tweet out that J.J. Buchanan can high point a ball at the end of the game and bring a wind home for Michigan because you'll, you'll go watch his Utah stuff and that's all he does. He just goes up and gets the ball and that's what he did here on a, on at least Bryce Centerward learned from his mistake on the first row, which was out of the back of the endzone. The very least, you, it's like when you're putting it at the very least, you know, get, for the, when you've got to get the ball to the hole, like at least get it there. Here, it's like, at least keep it in the end zone. It's better to be short than long throwing a hill, Mary like that. But yeah, J.J. Buchanan had a very good game and you know, we'll see what he continues to do next

week's going to be big. The Super Chat from Mike Friino, what was the dollar amount on the check that just hit the ref's account? Do you think they could hit seven figures? Tom, this was not a great day for the refs. They missed them plays. They missed a face mask against Michigan that would have given Western Michigan first down. They missed some other things in there for both sides. Yeah, there was, there was the one where Western Michigan made it by like that much on the first down. And I thought they got I thought he lost yards. I thought he's got a generous spot on that one. And then the refuted and said, no, I also thought Bryce Underwood's knee might have been down. But it like I replay it very clearly was not on that fumble. But I there were a couple times that I thought, but they might overturn this and then they didn't. Well, the one miss the second time on the close one that Western Michigan picked up. I swear he lost yards. Yeah. Like fourth and one and he gets tackled for loss. And it's like, I know it's first down. It's upheld. But I know this that that hell Mary is going to be talked about for a while. I wonder what that post game pressure is like for Western. Well, yeah. And man, if you're this is such a weird

reaction time for probably both teams because for Western Michigan, like you have to be so proud of how well you play, but you're also so crushed. And for Michigan, you know, you were talking about how well high state fans were kind of grumpy in our post game show after they won 56 to three. I wonder if Michigan fans are in a better mood now than they would have been if they had won 27 21 to 13. And it had just kind of been close and gross, but they'd been, you know, they've been ahead by a touchdown or so most of the day and they'd won. I feel like you had almost gotten yourself to the point where you were sure, you know, at the clock had hit zero and they were out of point. They were they were out of time and they were trailing. And so I think, you know, you sort of build the expectation. Well, they have lost the game and then you know, it is say, you know, pulled out of pulled out of the jaws of defeat. And so, you know, I'm sure they won't be I'm sure this will not be a particularly happy week for

people for Michigan fans, but I think right now they're probably feeling pretty good about life compared to where they thought they were going to be about 15 minutes ago. I mean, it's the heart, the hearts of the champion basically to come through with that and get that win. But yeah, no, this is a complete joy and relief happiness. I'm assuming because all it was leading up to that was anger. You heard the booze. The boo started in the second half. And then finally, you get that. It's like, I'm just going to enjoy this for like five minutes. Just let me have this one. It's a win. We thought it was it was a loss. And now suddenly it's a win. You better not be mad about it at the time. Well, yeah, this is it reminds me a little bit of 2011, the Ohio State, like they completely lost Ohio State season where they had that win over Wisconsin and everyone, you know, you win the game. And that one, they were not favored to win. So it's a little bit of a different situation. But, you know, you win on this dramatic Hail Mary in the final minute.

And everyone kind of like everyone's sort of happy for an hour or two or for a night or for a few days. And you sort of forget that, oh, this is a team that's about to go to the out there to the Gator Bowl and finish six and seven. But, you know, you have that momentary sort of fleeting flash of joy. I don't love Tony. I don't love the idea of Bryce Underwood and this offensive line and those running backs going up against a rent Vennables defense next week, even at home. Like I don't I don't get great vibes from that one. No, I don't either. And that's regardless of this game. It's like, but I mean, yeah, this you watch this and you're like, well, how this my initial thought like in the third quarter, fourth quarter when the boo started in this game, I'm thinking, oh, the booze are going to be really bad next week when Oklahoma is doing what they're going to do. And yet, you know, Tom, every, I mean, I'm just going to say it, every championship team

has a game that not like this, but a game where you're just like, I can't believe it. It should have never been this close, but we got to win and we got out of there. And like we said today, doing the post game at Ohio State, like, just get out of Dodge. Organ getting a win at 34, 27 win overboy the get out of Dodge, just get home Michigan has the same record as Oregon right now. They're both one of no. And, you know, and now Oklahoma comes to town and you know, you've got some stuff to clean up, but yeah, what we saw offensively in this game, which maybe they didn't want to show much early, but you they had to show more to be able to win the game. And it's not what they showed that wanted. It was a couple of plays made by JJ B. Cannon. And to your point earlier about taking the ball away from Bryce, I know it a little bit like that last drive started with the Wildcat. Yeah. And I was like, are they are they going to go Wildcat the entire time? And I kind

of like take the ball out of JJ McCarthy's hands against Penn State, but boy, that was incredible. Mike Ferreino's super chat says, and is there any mechanism to appeal the clock clearly shows zeros what in the world is their justification for the second? Apparently, it was because the defender was out of bounds and jumped up and touched the ball. And at that point, I guess it is ruled out of bounds. And it was and they were saying that it was, Bull was touched before the clock hit zero. Like it doesn't have to hit the ground. Yeah. He doesn't have to hit the ground because he was out of bounds, therefore, that that was the that was the explanation that was given. There was also an additional explanation there where the rules guy was saying it and apparently their their clock in their studio or whatever says one while ours says zero. And that was the extent. But I mean, they were they were free-surfing the moment where it touched and like what and I'm it's muted when I'm watching because I'm getting ready for this. But it's like, there's zeros on the clock and

that's when it's touched. So boy, that's I don't know. I think Western Michigan should still print up the t-shirts. Yeah, you know, you could you could certainly print up quite legitimately that a screenshot of the 12, 7's clock at zero. Yeah, you I mean, you you could do that and that is, you know, that it would not be the most illegitimate t-shirt printed on a college campus over the last few decades. So yeah, Tony, I want you to just run a theory past you. Right. You know, the old saying look good, feel good, play good. What if this whole evening with Michigan and their maze on maze uniforms was just proving the inverse of look good, feel good, play good. I'm with you like you know, it's like how you're looking out there like just everybody's a mustard bottle basically and I know fans pretend to like it, but they can't possibly. That's just it's just too much maze.

It's it's too much. You need some contrast. You need some blue. You need some white. Even like rich ride rich route would be like let's throw some piping in there somewhere. Let's get let's get some piping. Let's get some B stripes. Whatever we can do to make this a little bit. Let's break up all of the maze. It's just it's a lot. It's really a lot. And I was they're describing him on the radio and I'm like, are they wearing blue pants with that? Because I think that would look weird too. Because normally the Michigan home uniform is blue jersey yellow pants. And those are those are classic college football look. I have no problem with that with that look. I just like and I don't love it when they wear the blue pants on the road either where they wear the white jerseys and the blue pants on the road. I don't really love that, but I can kind of live with it. The Michigan has just for whatever reason over the years accumulated just some terrible alternate uniforms. Like the ones that you mentioned with the B stripes, the one where they had like the big M on like the shoulder.

You can go back you can go back like and they were they were with Adidas. Adidas series which you know Adidas grows terrible alt jerseys like you know like a damper room grows mold. So you know it kind of comes with a territory at a certain degree, but yeah, like that that was like, what if he did something else? Like literally anything else. Did you have other school colors like way in the past like Penn State used to be black and pink or whatever and they'll do something with that every once in a while. Like let's go a different direction with that because no. Don't don't inhale the Adidas uniforms. Our good buddy Big Daddy Gahanis says I feel so bad for those Western Michigan kids. It was one of the worst calls I've ever seen. Also rushing the field for Western Michigan is wild. That's I said this earlier. I'm perfectly fine with like there's a little bit of a just like the emotional just like shock and joy and like you're you know you have this like involuntary reflex where you like jump up and throw your arms in the air or whatever. I think at that point I could completely

see people just jump and like you know run out run out in the field. Like I I think that's I think that's perfectly fine. I have no problem with field storming in college football under almost any circumstance. Yeah, I mean Clemson does it after every win. I don't I don't well they certainly won't be doing it tonight because they're playing on the road. Is that the right reason? That is correct. Okay. It's 31 to 3 at the half LSU and I saw somebody on Twitter saying you know is this because LSU is so good because Clemson is bad. It's like well Clemson is not very good. I'm not sure how good LSU is but I know Clemson is not very good. But yeah, you see some of these Western Michigan kids like in tears after the game because like you just won the game and you got to experience the win and it's the best feeling in the world and then a record scratch. You know let's let's go check replay and now it's no longer win. It's like okay. Well, all right. Well, we we just got to do this one more time. Let's just go ahead and knock this out of the sky and it doesn't

happen. And so then you got to feel what it was like but you don't get to keep it. Yeah. Yeah, well, and they're they're talking on the broadcast about you know what a fun bus ride it's going to be back to. Go on. And it's an hour and a half and you know then I'm thinking of my head like think about a college town on the night of the biggest win in school history and any well they've won hockey national hockey championship. So the biggest win in program football history in the regular season. Yeah, I mean, BGF like that ball with this is bigger than any Mac championship if they'd won that game. So yeah, biggest football win in history and like what the town is like that night and yeah, and then and then the get rug pulled on that is a little bit rough. My friend says, ball doesn't hit his hands until zero. You will that is the discrepancy that Tony was describing where the TV guy was saying maybe you know maybe there's a difference in the

clock from what the people in the studio are looking at or whatever. I love the fact that JJ B Cannon trails the play. Like he's waiting for like the secondary break where he's just he's hanging back for the three the open three and the ball is right to him like he could have he's probably also waiting for a tip or something like that and it's like well, you know what I'll just go get it myself forget the tip Mike Furrow says yeah go ahead. Yeah, clock discrepancy doesn't make sense either because clocks were just synced in nine seconds before the play. Yeah, I don't know. I I don't have access to I'm watching the same broadcast you are and I had this same thought where like I thought very clearly that you know that balls out you know he nothing had hit the ground by the point it hit zero so I thought okay games over but I'm not I'm I'm no Dean Blan Duno much to the disappointment of my wife. I do think this is one of those games where there has to be a big 10 statement from the big 10 or like the pool reporter gets to speak with the replay official or a some sort of a head

official to get that explanation so I would assume that shoot that might already be on Twitter by now because that's one of those things where there's a controversial call a pool reporter one reporter will go and speak with the a referee or had official or whatever and then put that out there for everybody to use rather than putting the referees in front of the entire firing line and of reporters so they just just one guy asking some polite questions and Mike says the NBC is also confirmed the clocks were saying so see this isn't this is the you guys have the benefit of watching the post game we do not have any of the benefit of like that we are the post game and we see the whole time the NBC post game shows probably no actually there was no more time I don't know what to talk about and we're over here saying well they said there is one more seconds like no no no they have confirmed that there is no time they don't know where the second came from it was a carryover from the first half or something or you know they bought a vowel somehow they found a second they we thought they were just going to get RSTL and then boom they

come off the bench and they get three more consonants and another vowel where did this come from yeah all right now go ahead and give us three more consonants and a vowel and uh Michigan's like we'll take one more second like what no no no yes we will hey it's Andreath here back to school is here and that means getting back into routines and packing lunches at superior grocers we make it easy with fresh fruits, crisp veggies and soft freshly break bread that makes every sandwich better and don't forget a little treat a cookie or some pandosa goes a long way at lunchtime make morning simple and shopping smarter download the superior grocers app for weekly ads and digital deals superior grocers quality variety and value hey c-sacks here your health journey is personal and your Medicare Advantage plan should be two alignment health plan provides a broad network of doctors and specialists along with a care team that's available 24 hours a day seven days a week you'll also receive a monthly spending allowance for over-the-counter items and a fitness membership to support your overall health

that's not that's not at all the situation here no uh Jordan Strack Tito TV producer fan and long time long long time Michigan fans as I love Michigan I've been a Michigan fan my whole life western Michigan just absolutely screwed so there you go so there's there's Jordan Strack's view on things um you know I guess the the more interesting question here is what does this tell us about what Michigan's gonna be this year because you know I think they're they're want to know now but also I feel like I was not super high on Michigan I did not think they were gonna make the playoff this year I thought eight and four nine and three kind of team probably top 20 to 25 probably and I'm probably I'm probably still around like an eight and four now I think but I'm I'm looking at next week against Oklahoma and standard caveat on overreacting

week one applies do not overreact a week one that said that I had had some concerns in my mind about like what's Bryce underwood gonna do against a rather confusing Oklahoma defense where Brent Venables is pretty good at showing you one thing and then giving you another and we had been sort of speculatively listening to the talk about Bryce underwood and how much better he'd gotten and how you know he's a whole different yada yada yada and I did not really see a whole different yada yada on the field turnovers so yeah and and a couple turnovers and also had another one where he almost threw another one where the guy's foot was just out out of balance when he tipped the ball up in the air or he could have had another one I feel like that's not gonna go great I just get the sense that's not gonna go great next week and then you know we can I mean we can play the schedule game but has this has this materially impacted your view of what Michigan might be this

year yeah well and I said three turnovers you're right it was too sorry um I think some of the games where I thought you know what they should windows at home like Oklahoma they should win that like I don't know how now um Indiana you know we'll see there um I mean is it gonna be at home Penn State at home like these I yeah yeah it's that I like if they play like that and like this in those games they're gonna lose but again we just spent Ohio State post game show saying the biggest improvement is from week one to week two but the things that we saw in this game are the the things that we saw last year from Bryce Underwood saw in a spring game which Kyle Woodingham promised was that was just a product of the offensive line being mismatched and you watch this he's 12 for 2270 yards um 47 of that game on the last play and I think even more came on at last drive

of course I'm thinking in this Oklahoma game he's probably gonna have like 20 carries or at least 15 carries and 5 sacks and he's gonna be running for his life and the only way that Michigan can win that I think is while he's running for his life don't throw any interceptions because he has an issue doing that where he's he's just trying to make something happen I appreciate that but it's okay to throw the ball out of bounds living fight another day you know we've been around a Ryan Day long enough where for some of those quarterbacks early on it's like some of the best plays you can make is just throw the ball out of bounds and then he when that happens he's like he'll grab the quarterback and say good play you know that was the right decision and Bryce Underwood's decision making that the footwork is still not nonexistent but sometimes it's it's gone and the decision making the I don't I don't think he's very comfortable either you know you can tell what a quarterback is uncomfortable when or when they aren't they're uncomfortable you know a

lot of is because they don't always trust what they're seeing or they don't always you know it does not lead to being able to put the ball in tight windows if there's too many reads or too too much going on if it can't just be a boom boom type of thing but even some of his boom booms like the RPOs he's putting his receivers in a position where they're going to get hurt his guys you know JJB can he got hit once so this just looks very much like it did last year and that's that's not good and maybe he'll get coached up but I mean he's been getting coached for eight months right I think it is I will say what I have said a bunch it's way too early to write him off this is not Bryce Underwood will never be a good college quarterback but you were expecting to see tangible progress from the end of last season to the beginning of this season he's had all the stuff we've talked about he has a dedicated quarterback coach right now that shouldn't be something that is a new thing at the college level but there's lots of stuff about the 2025

Michigan football program that wasn't exactly ideal so so great you have a new quarterback coach you're the the pregame Michigan radio show is talking about how oh he's so much more comfortable you can tell because his feet are more settled he's not his just get the happy feet that he used to and he's feeling so much more comfortable and so much more confident and Pat McAfee tweeted something about oh we've never seen a guy more excited in the pregame tunnel and boy let me tell you how good this is going to be it was like mmm like lots of people are reading lots of tea leaves and I did I I don't understand the disconnect between the Bryce Underwood so that we saw at the end of last year the Bryce Underwood we saw in the Michigan spring game which is last time we saw right we saw Bryce Underwood and the Bryce Underwood we saw tonight is like it's the office meme it's the same picture like it's it's the same picture and then in between those it's like he just had 13 great practices in a row and we've only had 13 practices so is he just not a game player is he just like one of those guys who like shines he's the empty stadium all stars or

is I don't I'm having trouble squaring all of this with anything other than you're just getting lied to when they say that stuff yeah well and then also you get you get away with the win and you're like all right we're fine you know is that the attitude or is it like we got lucky now you made to play the win but you're very fortunate to win so what are you going to do to make sure that you are better equipped next week rather than being like I'm sure we'll figure something out it's like you're not going to do this two weeks you're not going to do this four weeks in a row you might do it two weeks in a row but like eventually may I remind you of the 2002 Ohio State football season I'm just talking hell marries hmm okay super chat from Mike Fereno says I'm wondering if something like this now the betting is so prevalent might result in legal requirements to have all ref booth communications recorded you know that this would have been a great time to have the booth communications live on TV like the ACC did the big ten is doing that this year but the only doing that in the Friday games it would certainly be good for transparency sake and for everyone

being on the same page for them to have it because even I think a lot of times in the ACC ones everyone's always on the same page there's never any disagreement there's never any like I think it's all a little theatrical there but it is at least an additional layer of transparency and you know this is this is not something that we're saying like oh Michigan robbed them and you know so this is like this is something that we we were saying at big ten media days when we were talking about this stuff that you know this is this is great when the ACC did it last year that was a that was a fantastic level of transparency to provide I don't know why you wouldn't do it you have technologically you can obviously do it so I don't I don't understand why you wouldn't if you can yeah um and I did just see it it was posted that there was a big ten officiating crew on the the highest on the Michigan game but the replay also goes to Chicago and I I believe it's on the up and up but man um

um there that's when has there been any sort of organized crime in Chicago Tony come on and I see people accusing Michigan of cheating it look there other times you can accuse Michigan of cheating this is not a Michigan thing um no yeah no no yeah yeah yeah let's let's be super clear on this we've we've done shows on Michigan cheating in the past we will let you know when Michigan's cheating this is not this is not like Michigan you know pulling a fast one on someone this is you know if if there's if there's an issue it's an issue with the big ten officiating office and not with anything Michigan would have done yeah and I'm looking on Twitter to see if there's been anything from the officials yet um no but I did Jordan Kapler super chat yeah western Michigan temporarily transferred to Louisiana and find a friendly local judge listen work Lane Kiffin's having a real good Saturday night so you know maybe it's not the worst idea no and I did similarly just saw somebody ask if uh western Michigan can Michigan can get a

temporary restraining order on the uh the score there and um you know I think major league baseball is about the only thing that where you're you're playing under protest but this game is over so there's no playing under protest uh number one fan of the you western Michigan got robbed refs added at least three seconds the funny thing is now obviously the game maybe plays out a little differently from this point but if western Michigan gets that snap on third down on the previous drive and they because it was like that was the weird one where the guy looked like he was snapping to a guy in shotgun and luckily he was snapped into a quarterback who was under center if they just run that play normally even if they don't get it that takes another couple seconds off the clock now things obviously don't play out exactly the same way they did but you know I don't know that Bryce Underwood was acting like he had a great grasp on how much time was left in the clock either so you know I don't I don't maybe it would maybe that would have been the difference just even if

they had gotten stuffed there when you're dialing up the hell marry from 50 yards or whatever with nine seconds left like I mean you can't throw something quick and out of bounds to Andrew Marsh over on the other side or whoever's over on the other side and make it a 30 yard or a 35 or something even like that but it's like to get two plays in there it's like now you know we're good trust me we'll have time unless Miles is watching this corner this even made me nervous you know and but that's boy what a heartbreaker for us to Michigan what a win for Michigan that if they go and be Oklahoma then this was just it's just one just another story to tell the kids about you know look not everything goes your way but as long as you're a Michigan man eventually it will yeah and there are people very angry at us on in the comments for not being certain that this was a massive conspiracy um like sometimes there's bad officiating decisions

like that's and I will be I will be interested to go back and rewatch all of this stuff and read the official justification and all that kind of stuff when that comes out like we just we're not the screaming heads you know youtube overreaction show like that's that's not what we do like there those exist if that's what you want if you want someone to tell you that this is the greatest crime since I don't know the you know the kidnabic of the Lindbergh baby like that's fine like there is someone on youtube right now talking about you know italians and how they they poor Lindy poor baby Lindy was kidnapped and yada yada yada but you know I I would be interested in the like real full like tomorrow morning let's get the let's get the bill corolo statement the big 10 director of officiating like is the big 10 gonna put out a statement on this because if it's big 10 officials bill corollos a pretty straight shooter bill corolo will like if the big 10 screws up

bill corolo will tell you yep we screwed up so he cares more about his officials than he does the big 10 oh yeah yeah so yeah I would I I have a ton of faith in bill corolo as the big 10 director of officiating to tell you and if they screwed up they'll tell you they screwed up I they're not going to overturn the result of the game that's not going to happen like that doesn't like that's that's one of those uh you know that that's right up there with you know well if we don't get our way on this we're gonna leave the conference now you're not like you're mad right now no you're not like and you're not leaving the conference over this and they're not overturning the result that doesn't happen that's that's just not how any of this works what did you think about the the Michigan defense as it relates to Ohio State right now and you know we're talking 11 games down the road and it's like was there anything that you saw from the Michigan secondary that I mean here's one thing for me Smith Snowden uh the uh last year and we've mentioned this

couple times like pff had him as but like one of the worst tacklers in the nation and I'm watching this guy today and he's like he's everywhere and he's making tackles and I thought I thought he was good but like the difference makers on as a whole like I don't know that John Henry daily did really did he do much in this one as a big impact three three tackles and uh uh hurry yeah he was he was not as impactful as I was expecting him to be yeah and we talked like will it take a while because he is back quickly from the kill he's tendon and generally that takes a little bit longer Dominic Nichols wear number eight looking like Derek Moore basically it's like oh Derek Moore that guy is never gonna leave and it's like no this is Dominic Nichols he's the new Derek Moore and you know he was he was out that he was good had two Kurt quarterback Curry's along with his one and a half sacks nine tackles and and making plays I thought Chris Bracey the safety met a couple of nice hits and I'm looking here and you know Rob Moore only two tackles

overall though like I still definitely need to see more and see what this past rush looks like against we'll see next week and you know not just the past rush but keeping John material contained and then what happens with with the secondary routes when material is scrambling and routes break off and scrambled drill happens because I'm I need I'm I have questions about the secondary but that that's going to be the case for a while maybe they'll they'll shut me up next week obviously this is not a game where you're like wow they really shut down that Western Michigan passing game because like what Western Michigan passing game right Western Michigan is a run first offense like and it's really like a QB run first offense it's it's not a service academy offense but it's not that far like you can see it from here and you know he they threw four 89

yards 15 completions for 89 yards and you know that that's they averaged just over four yards per pass attempt this you know and you do that it's like man that's that's a dominant game but you're you're playing a team that that doesn't throw the ball so I I'm kind of vote you know I'm grading the Michigan secondary sort of incomplete for this game we we mentioned balls we mentioned Todd balls before but he had triple sorry just doubles is his dad 12 tackles two tackles for loss like he was just he was all over the place he was someone who I have a friend who is a big recruiting person who you know is is an Ohio State fan but like a big recruiting a recruit Nick and was down in Florida and was like they have to get try both they have to get try balls I have to get try balls I'm like okay I mean I think they'll be fine that linebacker's like no no no no no no no no and all right yeah all right try balls try balls was a was very very very good on Saturday yeah

and you know certainly better than he was last year let's see what he does by the way time I've got Oklahoma and Michigan going in the background here uh with 747 to go into third quarter Oklahoma is winning 44 nothing so I don't EA sports must have seen the game tonight because this is rough I don't that's I don't know how accurate that's going to be but if it's that accurate boo that's going to be a and I don't think there'll be the the the fans rushing the the field might happen again but it's to get the coach and the ad and you know shaken by the lapel why did we make this torches and pitch forks day that was a terrible idea oh that was awful yeah if it's 44 nothing Oklahoma how many of those are short fields and or defensive scores that feels like that's got to be at least three or four we're we're you feeling like I was feeling pretty bad for price underwear today um tonight because it's just like he has the weight of everything on him right but also unfairly because he's not as good as the the hype the expectations and the price tag and he

just sometimes looks like he's down in the dumps and that was last year as well where it's just like this poor kid has so much pressure on him and it's just like if only he would be just allowed to be like a backup for a while and and you know or just not have all of the pressure that he does but man he also says some things that are like well I guess you're not a sympathetic figure you know like well you're you're breaking it on yourself it's like you know you you feel like he would do well to have a little bit of time away from the spotlight but he keeps like grabbing the spotlight like knocking the outbreak throwing a pass at someone missing hitting the spotlight operator and putting the spotlight back on himself again and yeah so uh Mike Freno says there's a video on Twitter right now where there's no audio but Kyle Wittyham clearly telling the Western Michigan head coach quote there wasn't time obviously liberating but looks clear so for for whatever this worth uh I think this is my favorite comments of the night we both look tired and no do not have our game day stamina built up yet now believe me we we walked out of the stadium today going that was a long day

home man that was a long day and that was about five hours ago so well I mean we first recorded a show like what 14 15 hours ago yeah and and I had I had already put up a whole different set of separate piece of content before then so yeah it's been a fun college footballs back hooray everyone to Geiger's point uh hit the thumbs up I would tell you to leave us a comment but everyone's been leaving comments so that's not problem that's not that's not a problem so do but definitely do hit the thumbs up definitely do hit the subscribe hit the bell because Lord knows we'll probably be doing a live show at some point again in the future uh and we've got uh we have a whole week of Ohio State Texas content coming as well plus uh you know maybe maybe some Oklahoma Michigan stuff who knows yeah certainly and a lot of local home of a lot of Texas a lot of Michigan stuff coming and man um I didn't expect such a busy first day I'm gonna be honest um and there's

you know no days off here in the this week at least can't stay week please get here thank you mosaics ghost we do look great we appreciate that all right are we calling it I'm calling it dude um I think uh I think my wife I might be calling it as well but um there you go congratulations big oh Tom you see the insta rea you see the title that you have on this uh that's that's it that's not in that's not the youtube title yeah okay um but anyway thank you all for tuning in I mean uh what a game what a miraculous win over a in-state rival this one is gonna go down in history you'll see it uh there'll be probably like you know time at the the Shembekler Hall where you've got they've got all the artifacts of history like something like Bryce Underwood's cleats are gonna be from from the West through Michigan game the big win over West through Michigan these are Bryce Underwood's cleats and this is the football that was touched out of bounds with one second left clearly one second

left and here uh and uh celebrate it and come see it and be a part of history and uh one last thing from Jordan Kapler I'm really really disappointed that Western Michigan lost because just before the last play I told my wife I would book one of those new on field suites for the buck insider staff with Western Michigan wins oh well um so I don't know now you've got a hundred and forty thousand dollars burning a hole in your pocket Jordan so uh hit that super chat and let thirty percent of that go to youtube uh that one thank you guys all for tuning in and let's talk to you all right well she grew away the load till me I wish you'd never met nothing
