London Marathon 2027 Ballot Opens

Today for this year's big race on Sunday, April 26th, last year's ballot smashed records with more than 1,133,813 applications, so spots are gold. If you're eyeing next year, head to the London Marathon Events website and enter for free before 4pm on May 1st. Pick from double your chances at 49 pounds, 99 standard UK entry at 79 pounds 99 or international at 200, 25 pounds. It's a straight random draw with results hitting your email by early July. Runners today are soaking up sunny skies and temps up to 19 degrees Celsius, but officials say stay hydrated and rock like gear to beat the heat. That massive turnout shows the Marathon's pull, drawing folks from everywhere chasing that finish line high. They're even talking a two-day twist for 2027, possibly Saturday and Sunday, April 25th and 26th, which could double.
