The first in the series "Local Live Music". A very fitting start, since this is the band that started my sound engineering career in the early 80s. Breezin' is a talented group of musicians located in the Four Corners area. They play an array of music from country, to classic rock, to the blues. Front man & long time friend Jeffrey L. Boddy plays one of the meanest lead guitars in the 4 Corners, Rusty Simpkins, one of the founding members of the band on drums, Emmett Fowler keyboards & vocals, Dean Foust, guitar & vocals, Shannon Farrell lead vocals, Ashley Casey lead vocals, and Jeff's grandson, Ryan Boddy on bass.
Next week: I continue my series on dwindling local radio programing with long time resident Scott Michlin. Scott, General Manager of KSJE 90.9FM at San Juan College, talks about his transition from TV news to radio.
