Let's do it. Let's get this started. I started a little late sort of I started the thing late, but not this late. It doesn't matter. Welcome, everyone. Welcome, welcome.
To episode three 17 here of my live chat on this third of September, 2026. My name is Luke Thomas. You probably already know that I appreciate you being here on the docket today. Let's see what we got going on. Let's see. There's UFC Paris tomorrow.
I'm sorry. Well, I'll have M case tomorrow will be previewing UFC Paris UFC Paris Saturday, pardon me.
KD Taylor's final fight is supposed to be Saturday as well.
I don't know what the hell's happening with AJ Fury. I mean, I'm not even sure I care anymore, but there's an update there. Really, whatever's on your mind. All right. All right.
Best place to do that, of course, is going to be what the way this works is that I put up a thread on YouTube.com slash Luke Thomas. I put it up yesterday. You guys fill it up with questions. We'll go for about an hour on that. That's the free portion. And then if you want, if you'd be so kind, you do not have to, of course, but if you've got it in you to do a donation, you can put that into the super chat.
And then put your question there and we'll do that in the second half of today's program. And of course, the exception to that is if you remember, you get videos that I only upload here as well as, of course, the ability to answer, excuse me, ask questions on the live chat for free.
All right. All right. We got a lot to get to today. So without further ado, let's get this party started. Shall we?
Okay. Okay. One more reminder, if I may, if you're so inclined and you want to get the chat free chat over on sub stack, you can do that there as well. All as a function of preference for all you dogs.
Okay. Let me just make sure that sometimes my wife turns off the air, which drives me nuts. Let's make sure it's, no, it's okay. All right. Very good.
Okay. Let's do these questions. Shall we?
Huh. All right. Let's add it to the stage. Let's take away the other one. There we are.
How we all looked during BC's last MK episode. Yeah. Now you're telling me. Trust me.
Let's see here. Japan and Southeast Asia buzzing about super rising five is McKee a live dog thoughts, lots of buzz in the East Japan, one of the few places where there appears to be some growth of MMA in terms of the market.
There's a lot of things about many places it's contracted, maybe contracting certainly contracted. Japan had a massive contraction, obviously in the late 2000s, but it's sort of slowly kind of held on and more recently put things together.
It's rising five event. You got that dude, Chagelaya, taking on who's like just an absolute animal, taking on McKee who, you know, remember his last loss was a what was it?
Split decision to Paul Hughes, if memory serves someone double check that, but has had a bunch of decisions against good fighters. So I would favor Chagelaya, a little bit more.
I think that especially since he's such a dominant finisher and so well rounded, but that is a great, great fight, a great man event. And I think that is when is that?
What is that fight? Let's see, I got topology here. Let's go here.
That fight super rising five is what they're calling it, Naniwa note, I'm not trying to say this in any kind of fucked up way. I'm just trying to read with the thing is called Naniwa no Chu Fukatsu Matsuri. I don't know what that means.
This will be the 10th. So next Thursday, next Thursday. That could be a fun one.
Who else is on that card?
Rayna Kubota is on the card. Shinya Aoki is still fighting. Why the fuck? How old is Shinya Aoki?
43 and he's still wearing spats. Come on player. Get it together.
All right.
Can you see yes, I saw you say on Mk regarding the Nazi flags at the dual arena event that the young men of this generation are lost. That's true.
However, the guy with the flag appeared middle age. That's also true. And there was also Jake shields working the corner of one of the Nazis. Jesus really.
Well, I think I did see that. Yeah. Although I'm not sure fully with the details, but I did see something like that. While we know your feelings on Israel shields is notorious.
This person writes for using is Ray Israel criticism as a shield no pun intended for his anti-Semitism. I'd say it's shameful seeing the stuff infiltrate the MMA scene. But after seeing a lot of the comments online.
I get the feeling these attitudes are permeating the mainstream society as well. Are we cooked as a culture? Yes.
With both older and younger generations seemingly sharing this attitude along with portions of both the left and the right.
Well, I don't know that I see Naziism on the left to be honest with you. But perhaps you mean something different. I'm not sure how these abominable mindsets make it back to our culture's fringes. Yeah, I have no idea either. I didn't this is not even I mean.
If I thought. How do I answer this?
There is this weird inverted perspective that a lot of people have tends to be concentrated among the younger ones, but it's not exclusive to them.
Which is that if you are in the presence of odious ideas.
That the best thing you can do is pretend it doesn't bother you or sort of outwardly project an idea that it doesn't bother you.
Because the idea that it bothers you like the whole point is just to sort of inversion troll culture where the you know if you have any reaction at all.
It shows weakness in the mind of the incredibly infeal people. Right. So what this ends up doing is just sort of creating a climate where more of this happens. It's a heads you know they win tails you lose kind of a scenario where no matter what reaction you have the entire point is to just trojan horse more of this in.
So they make this idea they try to put the the onus or the blame or the attention on those negatively reacting which is just you know I was a very normal human response to seeing something like that and they invert it right so these people want to they want to have this reaction where you know your only ability to do that is to to have any kind of responses to have no response at all.
That's just rigging the game too because then they can just trojan horse more of it in right.
I really.
I mean obviously I you know we've seen this whole Hassan Piker controversy where this idea that like you know the actions of the government of Israel and how that is being interpreted worldwide.
You know I think it's just a very very difficult argument to make that you can do those kinds of things and that that's going to make.
And I think that's going to make.
Frankly the world safer but even for you know for.
Jewish people either it's not going to make them safer here is a case where I'm not you know this is I think a bigger problem than just.
The kind of anti Israel sentiment that has taken root and that can go in metastasized directions that can go in better directions this is bigger than that I really just don't understand I I mean I get it right it's sort of this forbidden fruit and people think that but the best thing.
To do is in a world of forbidden information at least as they see it the best thing to do is to like you know loudly embrace it right to make a big show of it to show how brave they are and how clever they think that they are and.
The thing that really just sort of gets to me about the Nazi stuff is like it's like dude do you really think that this is the high IQ stuff.
Like is that what it like when they when they conceive of themselves I know that they think of themselves as bold.
But do they think of this is like.
Like were the smart ones were the ones that have done the legwork to fully understand what this movement is about and why it's good and we really kind of.
You know we've given us the full weight of consideration like it like that like Naziism especially in twenty sixty United States this is where you end up when.
Your your critical reasoning skills have completely failed you.
Like this is where you end up you end up there you end up at a event full of other people like this still very much on the fringes of society in many ways spouting you know deeply discredited and.
You know it's historically in many I mean you could say that they're making a comeback but I mean in many ways it very defeated ideology and one responsible for obviously just you know he untold human horror.
This is this is where you go that like this is what happens when I think educational institutions fail people this is what happens when governments.
I think fail to protect the right kinds of people the right in the right kinds of way.
So that it's like you can't like you if you're looking at people waving Nazi flags at a kickboxing event and this was mma streaming culture adjacent based on who was on that card you can kind of tell who's there.
To get to that stage where they're just openly parading Naziism looks so many parts of the modern world have to fail for that to happen and those guys have to fail themselves to which is all part of it just any any number of failures that have to happen before something like that can materialize where you're just you're parading.
You know anti civilizational ideology essentially they think it's a separate special civilization but like that's actually not what it is it's the opposite of that to say nothing of how other forms of idiocy and you know totally fucking dumb ass ideas power that whole thing.
You're noticing it doesn't happen at tennis events didn't happen at a softball event didn't even happen like a collegiate wrestling event that I'm saying that these are all necessarily places of great enlightenment but they don't happen there do they.
This is kind of what I mean about the failure of everything I have ever tried to do in combat sports I thought and I also like my own deeper regret for having promoted combat sports to be honest with you like if all I ever did in terms of creating a culture where combat is.
That sport sports could be fostered and grow if it if it inevitably led to things like this then what was the point of any of it and that someone can say oh well this is you know this is relatively new which is to some extent true not entirely but to some extent true.
And that this is not defining of the larger genre but again i'm going to pitch to you the question you're noticing it's not happening in the other sports like this is happening here it's happening here before it's happening in softball or you know high school football or you know it's happening here.
And I don't think it's in any way coincidental it's just I don't understand what the point was of putting a lifetime into building up combat sports if it was just going to betray us by being a haven for the absolute worst dumbest most poisonous political ideas for the least talented among us which tend to permeate the space more than ever before I don't know what that is.
And that's the point was.
Look I wondered if you take a few minutes to reflect on how the part pivot to political content has gone and is going eG career success wise jobs satisfaction for their opportunities where you see it heading any downsides from my perspective as someone who has listened to you for years.
I talked mostly MMA and given how I've spoken you have been about the challenges you have faced in the industry I tip my hat to you for noticing the moment we are in excuse me with MMA and right wing politics and being one of the few maybe one of one not the only one but mostly alone who can talk to both so well and I've been stoked to see your success and I feel this result all the best Ruben.
Yeah, I mean, first of all, there will be a political chat next week I want to get one going this week, but for sure next week there's going to be one I said September and we're in September, but I just need the next week to get that going.
So some of this to my get filtered out going for for folks who may not want this.
My perspective is basically that I know enough about YouTube that I don't think it's going to be very difficult for me to make a living off of YouTube doing political content assuming YouTube doesn't somehow screw the pooch and then destroy the whole platform in which case everything would be destroyed for me, but in a world where they don't necessarily do that I think I already have enough knowledge of it to do it.
There's obviously been a lot of encouraging signs in many ways people behind the scenes many many people that you'd be surprised about have encouraged it.
Some UFC staff have encouraged it behind the scenes, which has been kind of funny to see.
And I can not like a way to like shoot me away from MMA but being like wow like this is really cool, which was very surprising to me.
I'll be honest about that.
I've said it before I'll say it again if we could go back to how things were in 2019 give or take I mean that's not quite right, but you know because there was obviously many things that were building up that came to be fully expressed were already in motion by then.
But the world is like I basically the MMA world is I interacted with it in MMA in the space that it was if we could go back to 2019 I would give every last bit of this up permanently I put it in fucking writing I'd give it all up I don't really I'm not doing this.
I mean I am it's silly to be like oh I don't want to do it that's not quite right obviously I wouldn't be doing it if there wasn't some level of desire to do it.
But like if I'm just ranking the way I the way I wish life had gone and it you know you can't wish life to be different than it is but you have to kind of accept it for for how it you know you are actually living through it.
You know I'm grateful for many of these opportunities that have been afforded to me and I but I just want to be like very clear if there were a way to erase all of this and then just go back to way the where where things were at my happiest within the industry you know some time around the beginning of mk through the through 2023 before everything got destroyed.
I would do that I would do that I would do that instantly I would do that instantly I'm sure you know the coverage I would give would not make necessarily everybody happy and all that way it never really ever did but you know getting back to that I would do it I would do it I would do it instantly but that's not the world we live in so those days are over that time is finished and we just are where we are at this point and so to me there's basically two problems with MMA one is that the industry is so controlled I would do it.
So controlled and so still to that there just isn't much opportunity for the kind of thing that I want to do and the other problem that maybe there and again this is the jury still out on this but there are at least some concerns that I have that the contraction that we've seen more recently will continue and it will just make it like a necessity that I go find the work elsewhere you know what I mean like
so so I just want to like set the tone on this a lot of people think that like you know I want to do this political stuff because I just really love it and you know it's what I always wanted to do what I always wanted to do was what I was doing it for the most part but that time just doesn't exist anymore.
I am do that I'll be honest with you guys I'm frightened by what's happening I don't I don't mean like out in the country but I mean like personally like I'm fucking 47 I don't I don't want to be making a pivot to be honest with you and then some days I get out there and I'm like why the fuck am I even doing this.
I don't I just wish I can't overstate this I wish things were really really different to be honest with you.
So like I have very mixed feelings about the whole thing on the one hand I'm very certain I can make a living from it and if not make a better living that I ever made an MMA I signed a contract last week the the project had to get postponed but I send another contract last week for another cool collab with a very big company.
In the political space it's not MMA work I was on CNN on Monday Kyle Kalinsky shouted me out yesterday out of no fucking wear Hassan Piker shouted me out yesterday like if I want to make a career of it I I can I can and I might just have to based on the way things in the mirror going but I will just be honest man.
Man.
That's not what I wanted for my life.
But what can you do? What can you do? You know, what can you do?
This is funny.
Joseph A. Banks employee after Luke leaves the restroom.
That's pretty good. All right. What do we got here?
Given that Kai Asakura was recently given a title shot in his UFC debut at 125 is it really outside the realm of possibility to think Usman could get a 155 pound title shot in his debut.
No, not at all. Given he's an even bigger name than Kai. Well, there well, okay, but there's a little bit of a difference.
And both 125 155 are two of the deepest divisions in terms of contenders. Yes, but 155 is a little bit more of a marquee division, especially as it relates to like prestige, especially as it relates to star power, especially as it relates to the more important events that are there.
And Kai Asakura getting a title, it's going to be easier to walk just ask yourself, is it going to be easier to walk into a title shot at 25 or 55 again circumstances can vary.
But as a general answer, what I would say is it's going to be easier to walk into one at 25 now I still think Usman, if he signs will be in a very good position to get one.
Just because of like his name and his record and how kind of exciting it is, those a lot of ways this could go really well for him. But I would say it's not necessary. I wouldn't put 25 and 55 in terms of the limiting factors that could affect Usman or anybody in a similar position. I don't think they're equivalent. I think they're a little bit different.
Let's see here.
Thoughts on Ariel bringing back the MMA beat. I don't have quite I don't know what to say. Would you do an episode if Ariel invited you I would not.
There's a greater chance I'll grow 47 dicks out of my forehead. I think before, you know, something like that would happen. I could be wrong. I've been wrong before I'll be wrong again with hardly be any kind of new experience. But I would just caution everyone. I wouldn't expect that to happen ever. It's certainly not anytime soon, but probably ever.
Yeah, I think they're going to use their guys. They might get some other people in the industry, but I bet quite a bit of money that that is not an invite that's going to come my way.
Yeah, I mean, did you see the Anthony Smith is fighting again. Yeah, crazy that anyone would sanction that. Well, it's the Dominican Republic. Right. So, God only knows what the right. That's right.
Let me double check that. I know the first one was. I don't know if the next one is. Let's see.
Where is the next one.
Yeah, that's what's in it's in it's in Santo Domingo.
Okay. So I read the message, the statement that game bread, the that's Jorge Maslow's promotional company put out.
The basic argument that they make is, hey, look, we understand this is a serious matter, but legally speaking, he's presumed innocent until otherwise.
And, you know, basically that as long as we're in a legal state where he is not like territory, but I mean, like a sort of condition where he is presumed innocent like these are he's not been convicted of anything.
And, you know, I'm sure that they've heard whatever his side of the story is or some version of it, their argument is unless they didn't say even if he had done it that they wouldn't do it.
But what their argument is, I mean, obviously, might be an even in jail by that point, but to not get ahead of ourselves, the idea that they had was, hey, listen, we're sensitive to it, but there's not really a reason to stop it at this point.
Which is, you know, listen, I think it's, I mean, obviously, I don't think it's a great idea. Right.
Even if there is some kind of relatively innocuous explanation for what happened and it's true, Smith is innocent until other proven otherwise that that's that's a very important distinction to make.
But like the even by his wife's own assessment for whatever this is worth suggesting that you know what she was concerned about was his own self harm.
It's like.
Okay, that I'm not saying that that doesn't change the nature of what we can infer from this, that is a big difference, you know, hurting others versus hurting oneself.
But either way, people are being hurt and putting someone in position to take who is he, who is he fighting on that card?
He's fighting Jordan Hyderman. I don't even know who the fuck that is.
Seven and two, they call him four.
Where is he competed?
He competed in, oh, he beat Honeymarks.
It's kind of washed, but that's not bad.
He got, he got on bar in the PFL in 2024.
It just seems like it's, you know, listen, dude, it's fucking combat sports.
Like if it's irresponsible and reckless and a bad idea, people are going to do it.
Like they're going to do it.
Like that's just how shit goes.
I understand that they might believe.
I don't, I don't know that the people who run game bread are necessarily saying to themselves, hey, we don't give a fuck, you know, I think they might be convincing themselves.
This is actually humane, right?
Because he has the ability to, to earn a check.
And listen, it could go in a way where he doesn't incur hardly any damage.
He gets a check and, you know, it's not necessarily that big a deal.
So I can't even declare to you that this will be a big deal. This will be, this will exacerbate things in some kind of observable way.
Maybe it doesn't, maybe it doesn't do that.
But as I've said many times, I just think the amount of head trauma that someone who has been fighting for 20 years has incurred, particularly a very damaged intensive style.
You know, there are people who can fight for a long times that don't, I mean, they've had some rough fights, but in general, they're pretty good about staying healthy.
They don't get hit a lot.
That's just not Smith's case. Smith's case has been kind of enduring it despite those facts.
And obviously a lot of that is already baked in.
So even if you didn't fight, it still would be an existing problem.
But now you're going to do that while the guys got charges pending. It's just, you know, it's just not, it's not a smart decision.
I can't, I can't proclaim that it's going to yield disastrous consequences, but it just seems like it's the kind of thing that could.
And at a bare minimum just shows poor judgment by some of the stakeholders.
I think the counter to that argument would be, if you can't fight in a cage in this country, and this is, I realize it's in the Dominican Republic, but as a general observation, if you can't fight in a cage, I'm really not for money.
I can't do that. That would be the, that would be the challenge to the argument, but as far as I can tell, like.
Fighters and promoters in a week commission. It's basically just fighters and promoters, right, leaving health and safety choices to the fighters and to the promoters means you are ignoring health and safety.
Or at a bare minimum doing not nearly enough of it, right, these are the two groups that, that this is why you need regulation.
The fighters are all too willing to compete when it's not advisable. And the promoters have all the incentive in the world to do that for gain.
And so if you don't have another civilizing force in that equation, then you just get stuff like this. So I think that they're trying to make the argument that what they're doing is, hey,
presumed innocent, this might be a humane option for him. And maybe they believe that maybe they're not trying to do, like, you know, bad things in that sense. But to me, it's, it's risky.
And for a guy who is in legal jeopardy, we don't know exactly what all the circumstances are, but we cannot preclude that existing brain damage may be playing a factor.
And that he's signing up to go get more of it under their auspices, you know, that doesn't strike me as particularly effective judgment.
Okay.
Here.
Those that don't quite grasp the enormous challenge Islam faces by moving up and wait need to watch BJ pen versus Leo to Machita.
BJ give up 34 pounds. You have a more than that. I mean, I know it's what the weigh in looked like, but I'm saying naturally to take on Machita at heavy weight while BJ was able to edge the first round. It was quickly apparent how much it was tiring, BJ.
To have to be stuck by and handle a much bigger man in the clinch. There's a lot of things you can say about that fight, but a notable takeaway is how fighting.
Out of your weight class completely changes how you take damage and manage your gas tank and in BJ's case, he had a height and weight advantage and had to consistently rush Machita to get into striking range. This fight is obviously an extreme example. And glad you said that probably the most extreme example in high level on the May.
But it helps to more easily identify the challenges Islam faces at 170 and how his entire game plan has to change to not just be competitive, but to actually win. So I fully agree with this. If you've never seen pen fight Machita, you're kind of watching that fight being like, all right.
You know, pen starts out because he's very talented doing pretty well, but then the fight just gets away from him for obvious reasons. You're like, oh, right. That's why there's weight classes. And to your point, you know guys can jump seven pounds and experiences some differences. This was a huge.
I mean, a guy who basically was a 205 champ fighting a guy who was yes, a 170 champion, also a 155 champion. It's a massive, massive difference between them.
So I fully agree that like, you know, when you watch something like that, it really kind of gives you a sense that man, even technically sophisticated people for their era anyway.
There was just there's just a limit of how far you can push that on the other hand, I go back to what I said last week, which is this cult of pushing people up weight.
If you can go up weight and win that obviously is very, very impressive. I mean, I can't change what is just the standard idea of pound for pound excellence and combat sports.
But I'm just going to warn people about modern MMA, like even within your own weight class holding people down as harder than never, grounded pound as harder than never.
And frankly, yeah, there's a lot of knockouts on some of these cards more recently. The summers had a bunch of them, but a lot of that was some good fights, but a lot of that like in the Belgrade card or like this China card, they're just putting dogs up there to go swang and bang at each other.
That doesn't necessarily prove much. So I'm trying to point out like among the really good ones, striking defenses also gotten better. It's not gotten as good as wrestling defense or you just do defense, but it's gotten better too.
Like it's harder to do things to people. So now we're pushing people up weight and then exacerbating this sort of reality where we are in the game about how defense has caught up in key ways.
And it's making the fights a lot less fun. I'll be honest with you like I'm not against Islam going to 70, but I'm just sort of thinking for the future. I'm like if we're always asking people to jump weight because they're trying to win some kind of historical designation.
But in the end, we're just getting less interesting MMA. Is that a worthwhile trade? That's not me saying that there's never going to be a case where someone should go up and wait. We can think of plenty where people do and have great success.
Silva going and fighting for scryphon is sort of the common one that you might point to there's other ones as well.
Yeah, sure, definitely that's great. That's so great. But like I'm just trying to think I fully appreciate how good Islam is. I fully recognize it's very, very hard especially against Ian Gary to look good. It's just difficult. The guy's defense makes it fucking hard. It's really hard. And up at 170. Wow, man. What a chore. Is this what we want? And I'm asking I'm not declaring I'm asking. Is that what we want?
More than him fighting and I know Armin fucked it up from before, but I'm saying in a vacuum. We want that more than fighting Armin. Maybe now we're kind of getting to like the really interesting offensive parts of Walter wait with Morales and projects. So now it's we might be getting to a place where some of these concerns could go away.
But if two of these fights and some other thoughts and consideration about it, I'm just I don't know. I'm beginning to wonder if we're advocating for the things that aren't in our interest.
What the fuck is this?
Skip that one. That's just weird for me.
Are there other ones that have that there's like.
Oh, here we go.
Oh, here we go. Okay, all of these had like no thumbs up or like one thumbs up. I try to get the ones that got a little bit more to them.
And response to a question about your tattoos on last week's live chat. You said that as part of the midlife crisis, you were evaluating all the things you like to understand why you like them.
This process has meant you're no longer sure about getting more tattoos and maybe get some removed. Yes.
I'm curious as to what this process has uncovered about MMA, whether and whether similar to your tattoos, you know, questioning whether you still like it. Well, you got the right answer, but in a backwards way, which is the reason. I mean, there's there's basically two reasons I've had a midlife crisis.
The reason is that of what has happened to MMA, right, and just what it's become. And then the other one is what has happened to the industry generally on the media side.
And how basically if you want to do what I used to do, it requires me to no longer be able to speak freely.
That's basically what it would require. I mean, I know for a fact that I've lost out on jobs because of that, like in recently too, relatively recently. I know that for a fact, I know that for a 100% fact.
So those two factors through everything into.
And I've created a bit of a monster for me to deal with.
The thing that began to precipitate it all was what happened to MMA. And then to see it become a tool for the kind of we don't have to rehash the debate. I mean, I'm not, you know, people are going to come down on this whatever they want.
I'm not feeling to see it become a vector for not just right wing politics, but like a particularly angry and a low IQ version of it.
And to see the damage that everyone can now see that it is doing. And to watch MMA become one of the most important parts of the, you know, it acted in a political way, obviously, but it exists.
Obviously, and it's core nature independent of that.
To watch it do that was so dispiriting and revolting to me that it made me hate myself.
It made me.
It made me feel guilt about helping to promote this the last 20 years and secure its interests.
It made me question how, and it's not just like the fact that it turned like, you know, in a particular political direction. But then this is accompanied by this insanely like, you know, race to the bottom where people are just, you know, openly anti-Semitic openly racist open again.
Again, if you look at the way MMA news used to look where you had like, you know, high level writers doing high level thinking and high level pieces about MMA and lifting it and making it look nice. And now everything is, you know, do leg locks make you gay.
There's just been a clear decline in the quality of the coverage itself.
And then all of that kind of made me think it's like, how could I be a person and look at myself in the mirror and say, I like this.
Like, what does that say about me?
That's that's, and I'm not telling anybody else that they have to go through that. I'm just telling you what I went through.
I saw how ugly and nasty and stupid it became like quite literally like like dumb that it became and it made me say, if you like this, what does it say about you?
I'm saying this like in the mirror. I'm not saying it to you. I'm saying it to me.
And that was a big part of like, well, like, how can, how can it be that I could like something that could end up this way?
Because I've never liked something else where it did that. I mean, in general, that's not quite true. And, but this is the biggest one. This is the biggest like, you know, thing that I love turned out to be something.
That I no longer recognize and not only no longer recognize it causes me deep pain to have it like been associated with it in this way.
And that sent me spiraling. That sent me spiraling.
And so it led me to another process of like, okay, wait a second, wait a second, wait a second.
I think I need to take a step back here. How did it come to be that I even begin to like MMA? Like, let me really go back and begin to like interrogate it. And, you know, what I've come to is there are ways to like MMA.
Not the way I used to before. I don't think I could ever go back to that. But I do think there are ways to do it.
But with the tattoo issue specifically, it kind of brought me back to a place where I know I think the simplest answer I could give you into tattoos is, I don't, I don't agree with the artistic choices of like myself any longer.
But I know the words like what I did to get some of these tattoos. I now see these decisions as regret regrettable. It's their their poor quality and many cases, not many cases, but sort of some of them.
Like, I've just want to point a picture here like the person who made those things possible. I'm not that person anymore.
And you might say, well, you about five years ago, you were all in on it. But right, this, this, this, this, this reckoning with myself that happened has forced me to like
get, get deep and internal and ask like, what are the reasons why I got some of these tattoos?
What, what, what was the, what was the impetus behind that? And it's just, it's kind of like I just indexed everything in my life.
And some of it past muster and some of it past muster, but changed in a way. But, you know, if you love something the way that I have loved MMA and then it causes you pain, the way that it has caused me pain to see what it has become.
It, how, how can that happen? And then you just look at that and say, oh, I have no questions to ask about myself anymore.
Like it can only lead under my personal set of experiences. It can only lead to a place where you're like, how do I justify this?
How, how, how have I justified this? Can I, can I justify this any longer?
So the tattoo issue is not related as such to some of the other things that have happened. It's something that I've come to in this process of inventory.
But in rethinking a lot of my own decisions that have led me to professional and even personal destinations or, or, or, you know, habits or activities that have cultivated.
Many of them no longer seem interesting or pleasing to me in the way that they might have.
In part because I think some of them are just rooted at a point in time in my life that is no longer applicable and frankly, the judgment that comes from it no longer desirable.
I was asking at what point did we start writing in the streets?
Brother, we're a long way from that. I mean, can we at least get through the midterms and see how that goes?
You know what I mean? Can we at least try that?
Someone asks, is Rogan the worst post-flight interviewer in the UFC?
He asks every fighter the exact same question and never has any interesting follow-ups.
I think it's much better at it and it is better, but here's the problem.
The problem is that it's very difficult if you're the play by play guy to leave your headset.
Go get in the cage, do the interviews and then come back on and put on the headset because what has to happen is once the interview is done.
You know, okay, everyone, congratulations.
Donk, donk or saying, woo, everyone claps, right?
Right after that moment, the guy who does play by play has to start directing traffic.
He has to start being like, okay, you know, our next fight was brought to you by, you know, Dick and balls vodka or
so and so was a legend in the 90s and now they enter the Hall of Fame.
Like they have to pivot to the next part of the broadcast, whether it's an ad placement, whether it's a production element,
whether whatever it may end up being while the other person walks back and then they might throw to some other kind of elements so they can wait for the whole team to get reunited.
Like you've got to play that role. You have to be point guard.
So it's very, very difficult to like point guard passes to the center, go in there and does the interview and then comes back out and then gets the ball.
Like it does, it creates friction and so it doesn't work that way. Also, he's not the worst post fight interviewer.
I mean, post fight interviews are very difficult. I've done them. They're not that easy to do.
But he's definitely not the worst. There are.
The only thing I would say is like you got to ask actual questions. One of the biggest things I have is people being like, you know, talk about what happens.
You can do that a little bit, but they overplay it or the other one is like, wow, what a win.
You know, I think a little bit more like a direct question is an order.
Let's go to this one.
Rate this hot take. Okay. Zufa boxing is going to damage you have seen more than a rival promotion ever could.
That's a hot take. Let's see what the argument is. Okay. It feels like Dana is beyond checked out of everything that doesn't include Zufa boxing.
I was the last time he hyped power slap even this this past week. I saw him doing interviews.
He hypes Kevin Hollins allegedly career earnings, although he seemed to have walked that back when he gives counter bend more for a single fight, even going back to the earliest days of Zufa.
Or there. Yeah.
Like he only got into MMA to thumb his nose at the boxing establishment even Scott cocker and MVP fell a tour looking to grow and provide better paydays and Dana so focused on Zufa boxing might we see the UFC start to falter.
I don't think that Zufa boxing.
Perse is the cause of this the things that you were feeling frustrated about with the USU products such that you are some people love it the way that it is.
But such that you were those were in motion before Zufa boxing boxing boxing growl tally new.
No monopoly did it and I know everyone is sick of fucking hearing it and I'm sick of making the argument because it yields no productive results believe me I understand I will move on from this I fucking don't want to talk about it anymore.
Again it's like just to see what ever made become where you can't even have a discussion about the actual way the industry is structured and how that affects everybody people don't want to have these discussions but you know.
Oh my god dude oh my god anyway but the reality is there a level of success in controlling market share has enabled them to get comfortable and in that comfort and then to desire to scale beyond that.
That's when they are not getting into all the things again tko is not allegedly part of not formally part of power slot or it might know is tko does the power stuff is more of a dano white thing.
I believe I have to go back and double check if there's any part of the ownership structure that's involved with tko but it's fights to say it's a fight to say the point I'm trying to make is.
The sort of the feather the the nest that they had feathered by virtue of monopoly status I think it made them just hungry for more it made them and it made it gave the ability to do more like the data was very clear even years ago saying the goal was to get an UFC self sufficient.
Where it just kind of runs the reality is they've not really achieved that either because look at what's happening for example with UFC 332 where it's.
A month away and we don't even have a main event for an announcement nothing so that's a big problem but like in theory the idea would be.
That they got so comfortable and so big and they just became so so factory assembly line easy.
That it enabled them to want to just expand into other territory I think that's what you're seeing the other part to is like they think they're I think they what they want it was a boxing and again if they're just going to be another promoter that I don't really care I have to I really know complaint I mean there might be individual complaints you can make you know beyond that but.
As a general observation if they don't get the law changed and they're just another promoter by and large most of my concerns go away but I think what they were trying to do.
Is that they looked around are like how do we get the most money money for like any big fight like how do we make money on a canela fight how do we make money on a.
You know you name it like maybe not influencer I don't think they wanted that version of it not yet anyway but the other ones they did and so they wanted to just expand what they were doing but the only way you could really do that.
Is if you already felt like UFC was taken care of I don't think that they developing Zufa boxing and then all of a sudden you know what we don't really care that much about UFC like these these forces were in motion long before that got going long before it.
Let me have look I got this little last coat can.
I don't really don't have caffeine this late but.
Today is a different day.
I'm.
Luke just to say I saw your recent video from CNN panel tough watch with all the blatant Islamophobia and intentional centering of establishment them victimhood over the wants of the voter base okay I don't disagree with that.
I'm not a regular MSM watcher because I can't stand the format but I do see viral clips from CNN MSM to see Fox etc which often include two panelists butting heads do you think it would be beneficial for your political profile and cloud to be more combative and far some viral clips probably if they do numbers you'll probably be invited back even if it's uncomfortable in the moment I don't mind being uncomfortable on set that that's not a thing that bothers me.
But you know just to go out there and like fight with dogs for eyeballs I don't know how much of an appetite I have for that.
I will tell you it's a fucking miracle I'm on there at all given my views and I suspect when they finally get a full clear sense of them that you know they might decide how much they want to have me on.
Changes I guess we'll see I don't know but part of the reason they are bringing me on is to challenge like dude like I.
This is coming from CNN producers okay I'm not telling you anything that like they're not and it is not like oh this was in confidence not confidence like what they're basically telling me is every one that they have who and I don't get paid for these I want to be very clear with I'm not on their payroll.
But everyone who they do have who's on their payroll like they all basically think the same yeah they can be on the right they can be on the left but you know they they don't they don't they're the there's differences there but they're kind of all in the same universe of ideas it's kind of all the same neighborhood of ideas and then I come along and I'm like yeah the dem voter basis 80 20 on wanting to rain in the abuses of Israel and they're like this is awful how can this be and I'm like I'm not.
Like I'm not like I went on there and I posted this clip like everyone was like I'm do also yeah he's you know the he needs to really apologize to the Jewish voters and I'm like if he wants to for something he said I'm you know that's up to him.
He can do that if you want so though I have to say like the argument he was making about the temple Israel crash was just about like the guy who did it like obviously you can't go kill innocent people that's all fucking horrible.
But the point is trying to make is like this is the cycle of violence that we have like this guy's family was murdered by you know in his really strike back in Lebanon and and he lashed out and again you can't do that you cannot lash out at innocent people that way.
No but like you just have to understand violence doesn't spontaneously appear there are antecedent events or things in motion that help create it and it's important to understand it if you want to stop the cycle of violence so that more innocent people don't die he was he's being made to apologize for this.
But the argument that I made was I looked this up I look I went high and low what is the actual evidence that the data what is the data that I do also yet is performing poorly with Jews or in Michigan or polling poorly with them in Michigan what is the what is the evidence for that there isn't any.
There is a little bit of data as a way to some of the preliminary or the the primary data in certain neighborhoods you under perform where Jews tend to congregate but that's not even even that it's very it's not robust data it's just you know kind of maybe a window depending on what you want to see but it's just not really clear in terms of existing polling data there's nothing.
And then you look at the views he's espousing they're 80 20 with the democratic voting base and i'm like who's like why are we presuming he's the one that is topologized because there's a big divide happening in the party or he's otherwise out of touch he's not he's in fucking lockstep with them that's exactly what I didn't use the f word but I'm like he's in lockstep with them and I think it's a little bit just strange to not have any data to suggest that this guy is suffering with this particular demographic and then all of a sudden he needs to do something it doesn't make it doesn't add up.
But the problem you end up running to these of those things those panel shows are difficult.
They're difficult I have put up a whole thing on this for members who have seen it I won't rehash it here but I would just like you to understand.
I used to do 15 hours of radio a week on serious exam and that's its own kind of challenge because there's so much of it but I never felt like when that was over I didn't get an opportunity to say what I wanted to say.
But I do these television shows and every time I get off of them I'm like I left 90% of what I wanted to say holstered like yes I could get out there and be more combative and maybe there's some case to actually be more combative.
But then you're just being like kind of a dick and you're monopolizing airtime and no one else on that panel is getting a chance to talk part of it is that other people get a chance to talk.
The amount of constraint due to television timing and how the segments were timed it just makes it very very very very difficult because like Jonah Goldberg who by the way was very friendly to me I want to be clear about that he was super friendly we talked in between segments we talked in the green room he could not have been nicer and I acknowledge as much.
He's saying things like I'm to us I had is the Ken Paxton equivalent I'm like dude how the fuck dude Ken Paxton is a walking ethics violation discounting even with the other party wanted to do his own party his own party has pursued him for outrageous ethics violations and more than that like that that's just like there's no comparable equivalence to that and I'll say yeah like what are you talking about what are you talking about and I'm not talking about that.
And he's like you know makes a lot of claims about Piker and it's like I'm not trying to make a global defensive and one way or the other but like as it pertains to this issue like you're just smearing him you're not it's not the truth it's not the truth.
But how do you get all that in without just being a fucking raging asshole to everyone on set I don't know how you do that I don't know how you do it's very very very difficult to to get all that in what I just try to do is what they tell me is my politics on that channel is something they don't have hardly anybody come on there and do.
That's exactly what they're fucking tell me and that's why they keep inviting me back is because they don't have anybody not anybody but they they don't know a lot of people who they can call on to do like to provide a progressive view on CNN which kind of tells you how like in DC how much the sort of like corporate do op alias conventional wisdom.
Hey Luke someone recently posted body cam footage of more than rice who is now a police officer I saw it yes all the fans on this thread were champion becoming a cop but I found it deeply disturbing I get that the standards of policing in America are low but shouldn't the guy with 38 total fights and 10 K.O. losses either last person who gets a gun and a badge I mean I have split feelings on this because you know on the one hand if you watch the video it's not the same thing.
It looks like he's a something of a good fit for the police department in terms of at least in handling the situation in the video itself and obviously you know he's going to be able to handle himself physically such as he ever needs to and he's gainfully employed he's got health insurance you know with this he doesn't long enough he might be able to get a pension like there are ways in which you could look at this and say it provides stability he's probably you know just hearing out on some level going to be good at the job.
And it provides some level of security with health care costs that are just really really important for somebody like that I can not can and I can appreciate that you know he's not out there trying to go fucking streaming with whoever the fuck the clavicular he's trying to do something about honest job right on the other hand I also get your point which is that we have way to cavalier and attitude about the cumulative weight of brain.
I don't know what the terms of the police department for which he works for I don't know what kind of screening they have to this effect I don't know what kind of not just screening to get the job but then on the job if there are other issues that they screen for I suspect that they don't and that also makes me nervous it makes me nervous that I mean Marla Marais for folks who didn't see at the end of his run took a lot of fucking damage on his way out the door a shit ton he didn't necessarily take a bunch early to min this career but at the end there it was a lot of things that I didn't know about.
I was really really and they went on for a while. Sure yeah that gives me I think people are like yeah but if it doesn't show up you can just pretend it's not there maybe it'll never show up but maybe it will maybe it'll affect impulse control maybe it'll affect it'll affect executive functioning maybe it'll affect I mean any kind of part of the brain in terms of emotional regulation and or reasoning that might be needed in a delicate situation and then something goes wrong.
That is to me not an unfair question it's really not but I just don't think society is and police departments specifically have really like they just think oh CTE that's a boxing problem boxing can figure that out over there oh that's a football problem football can figure that out of there but the way that we now know is of course these things have a way of just bleeding into broader society you know.
But you know guys get arrested and then they're on air two weeks later like I think what I would say is that most of us and most institutions especially once not directly tasked with combating the ills of brain damage have an attitude of if I don't see it right now it's as good as not there.
Man how about this any thoughts what is this one how do I mentally cope with turning 30 in six months stop being a hoe.
Stop being a hoe what kind of a question is that stop being a hoe dog what are we talking about here what are we talking about there'll be 30 in six months you mean you're 29 and you're you're asking me how to cope be tougher.
Like dude 30 is not the cliff it's just not dude if you mean yeah you might have to tighten up some things here or there you can still get away with a lot at 30 32 34 35 30 I did please stop you have first of all you'll make more money in your 30s than you will your 20s and all likely.
Okay just to just speaking that seems to be true second of all this idea that like oh a 30 that comes to cliff that is an imaginary thing that is just not the fucking 40s different 40s a cliff 50s probably fucking the end of my life the 40s a cliff at 30 you can do you can do basically anything you can do in your 20s and less your professional athlete and you're not so fucking chill.
Alright the clipper situation man how about Pablo Torre just dunking on these hose out there how about that is that not insane to see that five first round draft picks 30 million dollar fine ball or suspended a year and it's a whole lot more to it than that I did not watch all 15 episodes of public or he finds out that dealt with this particular issue the basic idea if you folks you don't know is there's a salary cap and the clippers wanted to get coi Leonard.
So to make that possible they basically got these other companies many of which work as part of the into it dome or part with the into it dome whether it's the like the the dectronics scoreboard whether it's the insurance provider and other ones and they were all tasked in different ways with funneling money to to coi Leonard and the idea would be that the clippers would throw more business their way so it would just kind of be a way where you know we will pay the guy some.
But you know we'll get our money on the back end from the clippers or you know some other arrangement not all the arrangements are like that but that's the basic idea that they would basically use other entities to get around the salary cap to make it possible to get Leonard and which of course is totally against the rules and there may be some criminal mischief along there as well public or a suggesting that there are more stories coming not just around the league outside of this quite one would still within it like he still has some digging to get to the guy want to Pulitzer prize for all the other people.
So I think that's all of this.
It's the biggest punishment and NBA history it is I've seen some estimates by NBA insider saying that the next person that the clippers will end up drafting in the first round the youngest that they could be
is 14 and it probably is closer to be 10 or 11 just to be on how like everything works out at that point.
It's incredible.
It's incredible that ESPN let all that talent go and double down on Stephen Smith takes Pat McAfee on every fucking program and then they got absolutely in the words
of someone else I saw on Twitter I retweeted it they got fucking dog walked on this on this story many of the people on their roster their their their media roster.
Dude not just that ESPN had Ramona Shelburn and Don Van Nade on somebody else running a story being like hey we actually what we're hearing is that the NBA has nothing and this is going to die and then you know a month later it comes out that like that story is totally wrong.
So not only have they just gotten rid of all of the apparatus the the programs the people who staff the programs the media folks who do the work they got rid of all of those.
And then they have people on their roster hostile to the idea that there's anything to look at and not only that they're now you've got some of your prominent journalist running interference with fake leaks.
I mean that they knew they were fake is a different question but now we can see that it was just bullshit.
Saying that there's nothing to the story to make the public think that there's nothing to the story then all of a sudden turns out there's a shit ton to the story and Pablo was right.
The entire time do they got journalists running interference that's like combat sports level bad.
Of media running interference this is what I mean about like the all sports media if you do it at a mid size to lower size place you can still do a lot of the things that make it great to me it's not in any way I know he's associated with the athletic but if you really think about it he's a metal arc property it's really what he is the public already finds out it's a metal arc property it's the same thing as technically mk which is also with all the smoke but the his was first and it's bigger obviously.
And that gives you the nimbleness and the editorial direction to go do stuff but if you're working in corporate big time sports media dude you work for the leagues that you cover you work for the rich people who are part of the boards of those into those companies or you work for the advertisers you don't your job is not truth.
Absolutely they can say whatever the fuck they want it's true I've worked at some of these places it's absolutely not the case unless you really really really hard core fight for it and even then that may have been true five six years ago it's not really true anymore they exist to serve the powerful they exist to serve.
They exist to serve.
Predictions markets they exist to serve advertisers they exist to serve the leagues they exist to serve powerful agents they exist to do scoop trading none of it is about informing the public about things it should know none of it is shining a light on do by the way like look at how many do a billionaire sports owners like they appear to be fucking dirt bags.
They're getting caught in trailer parks trying to get their dick sucked in some whatever the fuck place one of them was for the 49ers here Steve bomb or do like they these people think they're constantly they're addicted to shortcuts they're addicted to just unmaking rules for other people and then remaking them for themselves and there's no grossness too small and there's no greed too large that they'll ever say no to like their gross fucking people do they're really really fun.
I mean I mean I'd be like oh yeah look surprise billionaires are gross but you get to really see it laid out much more openly because of the way in which the media cover is public or it covers sports you get to kind of see it laid out in this way and it's like holy shit do these people are horrible these dogs suck.
But what I think it just really shows is to me it's like I mean just look at the difference like hot takes which you can just spit out very quickly get them up fast right speed is of the essence look at the difference between with that Pablo is doing taking his time on a story.
And dealing with the negativity that comes with the story you know I'm just staying on it and digging into it and doing your homework and then presenting it amidst scorn amidst derision amidst dismissiveness and then still getting out there because what you what you believe in is that this the public has a right to know this and people who do bad should be held to the count if you break the fucking rules like this is not a good way in which to organize a sport or to society there should be there should be a good way to do it.
So I think it's a good way to do it and to be at some level of public understanding of this like that's just a completely different mission than what major corporate sports a lot of sports media but in particular major corporate sports like this was very obvious to me like so many of these things that were seeing play out in other sports they happen in combat sports first because it there's just far less friction to institutionalize these kinds of practices I don't mean that because they did them first that affected everything else that obviously would have affected everything anyway but you saw it at the bleeding edge or the
combat sports whether journalists will work for you know the powerful they'll do the powerful's bidding and there's no like there's no reporting on stories that would jeopardize a relationship between the broadcaster and the the league or you know something like that you just don't see it because that's just not what it exists to do it exists to see like the way they want to make money
is what you see them doing but look at the gaping hole that it leaves in how we understand the world around us at through sports or any other place that those kinds of practices are missing.
Oh 409 all right with that in mind let's go to the paid section now you don't have to do this if you don't want to it's quite all right I won't be mad if you if you don't if you just want to hang out but if you do
put it in a donation into the super chat I'll get to your questions the the exception of course is if you're a member you can do one of those for free if you have an issue please tag a fellow all right very good.
Lavicious look into the party Luke just wanted to say if my question regarding Oscar Willis last week was in port taste now I greatly apologize no need I wasn't trying to stir the pot was just genuinely interested no I mean the thing is I try to be as forthcoming as I possibly can on this live chat I cannot talk about everything.
I try to be as forthcoming as I possibly can that was something I just can't really get into or prefer not to it a bare minimum and that would just be one of them.
Regarding your CNN segment on a dual how frustrating is it getting interrupted like that when before you can offer a counterpoint or fully explain your view it's very frustrating the cable news format is brutal it's tough it I just don't understand like it's just hard to have you know it's hard to have a conversation.
A full conversation it's like I the way I explain it is like think about the newspaper back in the day the physical newspaper I don't mean New York Times dot com or something or Wall Street Journal I don't mean that I mean like the physical newspaper the way it worked was in order to get your stories on there which ones went on a one and which ones went on a 15 all that stuff but you still work confined to a rectangular space.
Now if you're on the dot com you're not you're not constrained you can just do anything you want but on physical paper on physical paper you had to fit inside of these actual dimensions and that limited what you could do TV is kind of like that only more so because you have to get the brakes in every seven eight nine minutes and so and you're sitting on a desk with there's four people on the desk like it's just hard it's hard it's really really hard.
Chale doing tape brothers PR gutter ass sport yeah I mean.
I'll say this what I hear from everyone is that like oh he's been convicted of nothing all right let's wait i'm going to wait i'm going to wait and see.
It's a common refrain I hear from from.
Tate supporters that he hasn't been convicted of anything so i'm curious to see how this goes and if and when he does get convicted to see what the story is then but yeah man.
People want me to like.
Fight against these broader trends in the sport it's like dude what is it you imagine i've been doing for all this time like look at what it amounted to.
It amounted to nothing.
It amounted to absolutely nothing.
Like there's almost like this desire we got to go save mma i i couldn't do that even if i wanted to there's no audience for that kind of a thing and more to the point if this is what it's going to be is it does it deserve to be saved.
Maybe just let it go let it let it just cook in its own juices so to speak.
What's worse the possession and extra cyst or your TDS oh i mean sick as a dog i want you to know that sick as a dog.
I love these guys.
What's worse the possession in extra cyst or your TDS this is the kind of can you imagine can you imagine.
In in in September third twenty twenty six the bond market is screaming.
We sent the Abraham Lincoln to patia tailand looking like a fucking rust bucket.
The reason why it looks like a rust bucket is because it has one of the longest the longest combat deployment in modern history.
And the reason why is because we got bombed out of our bases including our refueling centers in Bahrain which made that impossible so they had to go to the agro Garcia as a consequence to say on top of.
And then we spent this mass deportation campaign which has yielded no economic benefit whatsoever no one else in your community has gotten a job from it didn't lower your taxes it didn't do anything.
Co-street prices are through the roof fuel prices are through the roof health care prices Google that they're going to go up in twenty twenty seven in the most in modern history.
And they're about to absolutely sky fucking rocket and no small part thinks to much of the leadership that we have in place.
And then people want to come on my thing here and be like yeah you're unfair to him and it's like dude this is the kind of person I could show up to their house fart in their mouth and tell them it's
a pain and they believe me. I could literally take turns farting in his family members mouth and be like which flavor of history and was the one you like the best the cool mint or the non alcoholic kind and they would they wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
You know what I mean like there's just a portion of the country that is so mentally incapacitated they did so bad in school they have they have no understanding of the world at all that despite all of the
obvious incontestable dangerous failure the top three leadership post that the army currently sit fucking bacon the guy who to the secretary of school who decided to step down for the army went to the white house specifically to tell Trump how bad a job.
Pete Hickseth is doing I mean what do you think the Santa is doing a great job do you think Lutnik is doing a great job do you think any of these fucking bozos are doing a great job they wanted they have been dismantling the Department of education they're destroying the city by the way that they now occupy can you imagine.
Can you imagine how little brain functioning has to mean somebody like maybe his mom I don't know this person maybe their mom drank in utero I don't know and I'm just guessing I'm not declaring but I don't know but like you don't say what I mean like like something has to be terribly wrong with you truly in a medical sense to come to this kind of an argument on September 3rd
2026 like you genuinely have to be you know something has something what really went wrong for you either something went bad in your life and or just genetically you're two seven offsuit right you got the worst hand possible but can you imagine imagine trying to imagine showing up to a neutral group and like trying to make the argument that TDS is even a thing in 2026
brother if you don't have TDS September 3rd in 2026 it's almost certainly because your mom you know spoke cigarettes when she was pregnant with you you know what I mean.
You said things that will get you said things will get a lot worse before they get better motherfuckers had the job for seven months and we're at stallion terrasco how much worse in my opinion TDS is thinking this is normal yeah dude it's going to get way worse it's going to get worse.
I don't know what to tell everyone we literally can't make a deal in Iran.
We just passed a law that made healthcare much more expensive that closed hundreds of rural hospitals they kicked five million people off of snap we're tearing apart communities that's not leading to job growth that's not leading to wage growth.
That's not leading to new levels of educational attainment enrollment and higher education in fact is dropping.
I don't know what to tell people like this is why you don't vote for a con man from Queens.
Thoughts on the ballmer clipper story we kind of went over this also unrelated to that but another app with you in Pablo would be awesome there's been some talks nothing booked yet but I've had some conversation.
I've had some conversations about some stuff so stay tuned.
Lucas Anon American can you explain why a lot of American still support Trump despite all the nefarious things he has done in the past is still doing and will go on to do the next two years well there's good news and there's bad news.
The good news is that his level of popularity has reached the very low thirties which is for this stage of a presidency the lowest in modern history.
So we've had a very low rating at the end of his term but we still have two years left and if to say nothing of what the fuck you might try beyond that.
So his popularity has declined rapidly if you look at the university Michigan has always put out the consumer sentiment index I think it's what it's called where they just sort of measure consumer happiness with the economy it's the lowest ever.
So he's gone back years and years and years through all kinds of economic decades the decades of economic to malt it's the lowest ever been ever.
So there is clearly I would say about 70% of the country the majority that realized that this guy is you know terribly out of his depth and dangerous and stupid and not good at this but there's just 30% of America you're just never going to convince that 30% these are people like the guy from before who again I could I could literally.
Deficate in his mouth and I'd be like dude you just your mouth has to be my cats litter box now you'd be like okay I guess I got to do this you know what I mean like there's just nothing you can do to to to get those people they just have to be politically defeated but the good news is that the majority of Americans don't feel that way.
I'm a 29 year old leftist Jew and agree with your political takes many leftist thinkers have been Jews marks Luxembourg.
Dr Cody Dr. Spencer Ackerman do you have a favorite left wing author.
Edward Said.
Look I saw your video about Milo great work as always I was surprised that he didn't receive favorable treatment or got paid to say his experience was good and promote ice rates I mean I don't think they plan on letting him back in the country anytime soon so what's he going to say.
You know God what a fucking fraud he is Jesus Christ dude if like this is what I mean about like the and I realized that there are some people on the right I mean I have watched debates I spent time doing this I've watched immigration debates between somebody on the left somebody on the right and you know pro immigration or anti immigration like some.
Some combination and I've seen the ones on the right do it like the really good ones.
And basically what they retreat to is just one argument which is okay you cannot like the laws but the laws are on the books and so they have to be obeyed right and there's arguments around that too which is right if you just made driving illegal for anyone under five foot eight you know this would cause a lot of problems people would still be on the road and you could say well it's the fucking law but it's like it's the laws really bad what differences make but either way that's what they retreat to because that's really the only defenseable person.
And really the only defenseable position in terms of the broader scope of things like they guess we have laws and nation of laws has to be obeyed but in terms of like the sanity of the policy they have almost nothing to say about it and it's like these people who cheered mass deportation and Milo was one that said he wanted to like masturbate to while witnessing ice rates and then he becomes you know he gets the business end of it and then all of a sudden he's like I wouldn't wish it on anyone yeah but you did.
But you did wish it on anyone you wish it on everyone and not only that you have wish it like he was like I didn't get due process it's like dog what do you think
mass deportation means you it's you can't get mass deportation if everyone gets due process if every if the government takes its time we we got to get criminals we got to get people who are who you know are near do well
we got to get criminals of some kind and we have to make sure we find them we got to make sure we don't hurt any sense we want to keep these ones like it's not any of that it's just fucking brute force it's a fucking machete slashing through brush they don't care what they hit
like you can't get mass deport you can't do a careful process and dare I say I'm even a in a positive way a bureaucratic process to some extent you can't get one if what you're trying to do is just maximum punishment which is what it is
like you've been cheerleading this thing as maximum punishment you were you were literally talking about sexual arousal added and then you get the business end of it and all of a sudden you understand it's horror is like how many time this is what I mean about like conservative views on things guys I'm just trying to warn you like it sounds like all looks by of course he has his own views yes I am by so I have my own views how many times like look at the Trump administration trying to implement their ideas and how badly they go because they do not know what they are doing they are fighting battles like Peter
and I'm not trying to do any excess like we're going to do training not trainees like it's like okay great well then why why are all your generals warning the president in secret that you're fighting battles that have nothing to do with military readiness and in fact get in the way of them at times they they they they're don't key hotel attacking windmills I've said to you before it's just vibes it's just vives it's just sadism it's sadism and vibes as like
policy they didn't start with like Milo never started with right what does the scholarship show about immigration right what is that what let's start there let's start then and I'll make a worldview based on like the best available data it seems like a pretty good way
to make a worldview but that's not what they do they don't start there and they reject it at any point as a matter of fact not matter as a matter of origin but as a matter of procedure and any part of that and it's like what we want what the fuck you want me to do with that
you want me to take that seriously if your worldview crumbles when you have to encounter it there was nothing ever backing it robust to begin with if it instantly falls apart once you have to experience it
there was nothing there ever holding it up to begin with
love from Canada what are your two or three favorite mini priced food wrecks in DC mid price excuse me
traveling there in November for five days despite my desire to boycott because of the orange man go to yellow and uh go to yellow yellow mid mid there's a very very expensive place which I've never been but like literally all of the fucking people rave about called albie albi is supposed to be like this Palestinian restaurant that's amazing I've never been because I literally can't get a reservation
but yellow is a Palestinian place in um like a such a slash union market that's real fucking good super good
also if you're going to be in that area the the ice cream at frio frio it's outrageous also it's pretty good at yellow that's one
the other one I always do is unconventional diner and it's a really good mid mid mid priced meal I think the third one I might do
um
that's another third good one mid priced you know what I went the other day eb's corner bar
it was a Michelin star chef who opened up like a corner bar like burgers and onion rings but it's just like really really good burgers and onion rings and stuff
and I took my Colombian in-laws there and they loved it so yeah there you go
what are some of the modern day best practices that you see fighters use in defensive wrestling nowadays also why doesn't this work as well against doggas
donnies what are some of the modern day best practices that you see fighters use I would say you know better stance better movement better understanding of distance better down blocking better about splitting their base better about underhooking better about overhooking
um
using the ninja choke on head inside stuff as a counter you're seeing a lot of that the reason why tends to not work as well in doggas donnies is because they seem to have more uh
adept finishes they have better finishes for different kinds of stalled positions along the wall now of course some of them don't and they don't know what was work yet a lot of bought yet you know
i'm not saying they all work all the time but if you just think about an apex example like hebebe hebebe had singles doubles trips throws he had body lock takedowns he had you know i mean like he had the full repertoire of different things he could go to depending on what you were giving him so
he had all these different finishes with all these different scenarios a lot of the doggas done you guys relatively speaking tend to have that kind of thing
mkld thank you so look the uss abraham linkin docked in tailand i saw
what kind of danger of those poor Thai people i mean there's gonna be the level of prostitution is gonna be
if i know marines the level of prostitution is gonna be out of control Kubota and here are more our promotional darlings
oh from the rising card fun beloved fighters fair enough from hosting two nazis to calling their own fighters
effslers and chimps is dual mma the worst promotion of all time yeah i saw that they called one of their own black fighters a chim
but if you get mad about that all so you're getting mad about that oh okay okay well then i won't get mad about that i'll pretend to not be mad about that
okay cool let's just do more of it right if you get mad about it they love it because it makes them
have more attention and they can do more of it if you pretend to not care they're like great we're
gonna run in this fucking bank unobstructed and then just do you know more of this whole thing either way
that it's all about just shoe horning more of it in the best thing to do is fight it as best you can
but yeah that i mean can you imagine like racially insulting your own fighter
okay almost choked on my food when that ghoul on the cnn panel called
of dual else i had the democrats can pack staya what was that you told him a fact about the 80-20
issue and he was like that's debatable i'm like yeah it's definitely not the road the the the the the
polling on that is robust look nothing is more combat sports than three underdog wins last weekend the
fact that each upset got weirder excuse me the fact that each upset when got weirder and more chaotic
and actual upset a gas out and an injury by the way people were asking what's the mma equivalent of
what happened to mosey tomah and it's not quite the mma equivalent but something kind of close
which would be like conum or greger but it's not the same because Nate kind of came in on short notice
he gasped a lot earlier like there's there's some meaningful differences but that's kind of one
that's kind of one look this up and got multiple answers i'll just ask you who first came up with
the name of the sport mixed martial arts wasn't it jiff blattnik
i think it was jiff blattnik and maybe big john something like that i forgot and that's a question
of like Josh gross or something do you think jade evances good at simultaneously appeasing both the
fox news ionist wing and the young republican groiper wing of the conservative movement no no no
he will he will go down in flames i suspect he's trying to do that now he's trying to get like
like tucker's going to endorse him probably and so tucker's got all these credentials built up from
doing propel sitting content and so the concept is like oh if jade has an attachment to him
you know that's that's a great pivot away from trump but these these guys are all
they're all going to do jade evance anyway and anyone else rubio or whoever else they're all
going to do the same old pro israel playbook like we all know that right and on the left too like
you know i there's i would be shocked if the 2028
dem nominee is in any way noticeably anti israel i'd be very surprised
well too what's going on with three three two main good fucking question the Wang Tong versus
Natalia silva thing seems all that confirmed i think they should do yeary versus sterling as the main
for the interim yeah but are those dogs ready do they agree do they want to
this is just a very obvious thing they don't have the manpower to do their calendar you're like oh
guys get injured okay but having manpower to do your calendar means even in the event of injury you can
still basically do it like not only you know do they not have a suitable one but like we're a month
out they don't have anything like just that alone is such a huge problem but it's just very
obvious they they and this has been true for a long time they don't have a roster there isn't a
roster that can be put together to do 40 plus MMA events a year cannot be done not without
significant sacrifice on the other ends you know truly don't know what to do anymore the world
feels disgusting even this chat used to be cool and now it's filled with edge lords piece of
shit feel hopeless it's dark go to wait wait wait wait wait go here go here i promise you it's
better i'll leave it up for a little bit
dude if i mean the edge lords are annoying but you gotta remember they're making me money right which
they don't care too much about but it's good for me and then the other part is um
dude they've got nothing else to do like the you know no one who's doing that is like killing it
you know what i mean i know it's a very sort of like common thing to be all my haters are all
but i don't mean that true universally but i mean the ones in the chat the ones in the chat like
dude these are i mean these are fucking losers let's be honest about that
do most if not all states have early voting um different procedures different
different ways they go about it but yes if so with Texas closing telerico favorite polling stations
that's all that one county wouldn't early voting be the best way to counter these blatant
breaking attempts sure yes uh closing polling stations doing it early um
or sorry as they close polling stations doing it early is going to be better especially now that
mail-in voting is also now got only knows what the security for something like that is
did you ever attend football games we at William and Mary a little bit but they were not very
good when i was there how was the environment around campus those days
is i mean we would do pre gaming that would be fun i'd imagine it wasn't as big a deal as there
was as like a big ten or scc oh and it wasn't even dude it wasn't even as good as like fucking
uva at a cc school it was fun to do you know tailgating ahead of time but not wasn't that great
you might telling us your memory of 9-11 really you want to do that um i've said this before i
woke up that day and i had a philosophy class at 9-30 and i skipped it because i hadn't finished
one of my pieces of homework for it and then uh one of my fraternities was like hey man a plane hit
the uh one of the world trade centers and i i was like okay well i thought it was like a sessna
you know what i mean like a little thing and then i turned on the news and i was like holy shit
um well that's really bad and then i forget exactly at the time of the other one hit
and you're like okay well now that's really really really fucking bad and again i can't quite get
all the timing right but eventually the towers fall and then we realized that they hit the Pentagon
and then we realized that there's that other one that they eventually uh got to crash in a field in
i think pennsylvania that was supposed to go to the white house i believe um that is the most
consequentially like different day of my life like a day well no the day my mom died was like that
but like in terms of like society just being different the day after that is that is the biggest day
ever in my life like that i can i mean the country was under attack uh and it changed
it changed everything that's taking anything from song but in my opinion the keo was more umar's
mistake dipping his head and walking into the uppercut than song forcing it nope song
forced him to do it he set up his shot to get him to lean that's how he knew the right would be there no
could dusted porier or drick is duplicity be champ if he fought that or oh could dusted porier be champ
if he fought that version of ilia at the white house it's on the table it's on the table
he was great against islam if you say yes it's more about timing and less luck when you get guys
excuse me luck when you get to the top yes or you know what night skies have off nights or styles make
fights or individual prep or whatever the case may be i still would favor to porier over porier but if
that was the same version then i'm not saying gachi didn't also like perform really well um but i
guess what i am saying is um you can't discount to porier being reckless in the way that he was
or nonchalant if mitch has been gone for two months will the people covering for him be prosecuted
did they commit a crime also thoughts on aoc being less progressive facing i there's been a lot of
political stuff on this chat i'm gonna save that for a different video smart of her for votes or is
she bending the knee no she's bending the fucking knee look i learned my lesson working with
israeli isn't got a new job with the danish i'm somehow now doing a seminar in kopenhagen
well on a work trip brother you leveled up i've heard great things about kopenhagen congrats man
that's amazing hey look is it really a midlife crisis before a divorce and buying a motorcycle
midlife crises can come in many forms i have no desire to buy a motorcycle and i have no desire
to get divorced but the other things i had to go through were quite real what's up look moving from
elia to burkeley for a job ever move somewhere and feel you your old city was better or do you
eventually find things to love wherever you are more so the latter um i've definitely moved to
places like when i moved to when i moved to Williamsburg virginia in 1998 for college i was like
i was happy to go to college but there was nothing in Williamsburg to do in 1998 it's gotten a
lot better sense then you know for sure i was like what the fuck is this but you know it doesn't
mean you have to live there forever either kind of keep that in mind but what i would say is do
burkeley's probably got a lot of charm any kind of any any college town anywhere in the country
like i went to tell you when i was in iowa iowa city for um you know university of iowa is there
like dude that's that that town's nice there's this there's cool shit there and any kind of college
town's gonna have something to like you know understand reflection on tattoos but you can't regret
the tiger can you or the japanese one japanese tattoos in general no i like the i like the tiger
one i like my marine core one and i like the one that i got from my daughter but in general the rest
of them could probably go have you ever been so stressed by work you disassociate i have seven people
all leaving within a week 24 people on staff and desperately excuse me and despite already hiring
three and promoting one i'm drowning yeah i've done that i've done that where
there was no way to like i i i yes from pure workload not so much but from a heavy workload
and then the stress of expectation i've done something like that before yeah
um dude if you're doing that you realize like you could maybe do it for a little while but you know
it's gonna come to an end either your body is not gonna let you or the job performance is gonna
suffer like i hope you understand that like when you whenever people do stuff like that they're like
well i'll deal with it later it'll deal with you if you don't deal with it
we took you back to school anxiety sleep issue donations thank you sir as a donk who sleep walks
fell on tour my meniscus insomnia sleep apnea this donk has many asleep problems you're the king thank
you sir and gentlemen fucking scala appreciate you appreciate you get some fucking rest yourself dude
Jesus hey i'll teach you have time to talk to john nasi about pay structure for champs now with paramount
and no more pay-per-view points i've been meaning to set one up no but i you're right i've been meaning
to do it feel like that has to be contributing to the record low title fights i've been meaning to
set something up with him i need to do that i'm gonna make a note of that as a matter of fact hang on
okay
lukega sport is a degenerate sport felt same way about boxing all we can do is support fighters we
like and hope they don't become scumbags but the problem is that there are no civilizing forces
corralling the worst of that and now it's just a free for all now it's just the purge every day
that's the difference yes it is a degenerate sport and it always has been in on some level it always
will be i understand that i don't mind that what i mind is that there's no attempt at editing what it is
do you agree with me that uc 300 was the end of the covid era boom 300 was a great card and we've had
two few and far between good cards since 300 so that would be what april 2024
everything after that that might that's not a bad argument i'd have to i'd have to think about that
a little bit more but that that's not a bad bookend because the 300s themselves have been
very very different since 300 in particular but just overall it's not a bad argument
look i was wondering your thoughts on the comparison of panelism in your CNN appearance between
abdual and paxton my jaw hit the floor yeah that was jona goalberg i don't understand that i just
don't understand how that can even be real this is what i mean it's like dude like what kind of
understanding of people do you have to have to say something like that just utterly evidence free
you know what i mean like ken paxton's rap sheet is insane like you can oh i don't like abdual
alcy ed's views okay fine like fine but like he's not a like
ken paxton's own party spent 60 million his own party like like i don't mean like outside groups i
mean the party apparatus itself to stop him the other republicans did they brought him up on ethics
charges they tried to get rid of him out of politics numerous times out of office in particular
as well for all kinds of you know outrageous forms of misbehavior
there is no comparison will your political live chats also be in thursday's or will be a different day
i think it'll be a different day i still have to figure that part out but i'm pretty sure it's
gonna be a different day lt a cure course awa aside top three favorite directors and some of your
favorite films of theirs um pull Thomas Anderson i like
um
Alex corsese Alex corsese um
and maybe i'd go
the third oh hold on
i'll tell you
it was oh yeah so he's not related he's not related but he does have the same name kioshi
kurosawa is not related to akira at all um this donks movies are just so utterly fucking insane he's
made a new one called the samurai in the prisoner i've not seen yet that's getting insane reviews he's
the one that made cure but he made a bunch of like really really really interesting movies that i've seen
and uh just a very very like his framing of shots is next level
uh
rather take lsd to a rascal flats concert or give lumora a foot massage in public no i'm doing the
drugs i'm doing the drugs
clippers are literally set back for 10 to 15 years was it worth it stevo yeah do they
they nuke that franchise they nuke them uh good and by the way they're apparently not going to be
done at least poplis not going to be done so god only knows what the league's gonna do
they got fucked up real bad with that good time to mow the lawn and turn on the nucleicula
craft probably paid tom braady under the table too oh you think kawaii liners the only one who got
that deal come on y'all do you ever feel like farting on women's athletes oh sister again
all right dude i like poplis subscribe to his content after your interview real talk like mendo yeah
just going the opposite way of all the bullshit out there i really really admire it i really do admire
what do you think of stavros calling out all the other rogan sphere comedians
aren't all the other rogan sphere comedians really fucking bad
like how i mean i don't understand i don't understand how like burr christian got famous
you know and netflix specials i don't understand you know uh
who was the other ones in that in that whole fucking orbit you know i guess obviously that's not
true for someone who's in the orbit like uh shane gellis he's obviously pretty good um i wouldn't say
that about him but so many of them were just utterly didn't catwilliams call that out like they're
just utterly mediocre the question is weak luke just a thanks for all the hard work and great
content thank you guys we have become what jigaro kano feared martial arts would become under a
pro martial arts league was he right or can mma in boxing save its own soul and at least to be
slick or about become less shady it'll never be less shady unless the stakeholders want it to be
and the stakeholders don't want it to be and if the fans and the advertisers don't force it on them
it will never happen and they don't have it here to have any interest currently in my lifetime
in doing that so here we are i imagine within a three year period you will quit mma and go political
full-time it's not on the plans it's not on the plans i can say that but you know god only knows
the cps uk crown prosecution service wouldn't bring charges and extradition requests for
tates unless they were 100% they will secure a conviction yeah i believe that shots to ant i
believe that i just i'm i'm only saying that about the tates because they constantly the defenders
wherever they are will constantly say things like always never convicted okay let's wait i am
happy to be patient here i'm happy to be patient now if he doesn't get executed and it doesn't
face his day in court we're still in the same problem but we shall see unless you have a minimum
eight figures in your bank account i don't see no reason to be mage like cutting your nose despite
your face well billion like it's easy to be a right wing media person relatively speaking because
there's a lot of right wing money they get funneled into that what the left does not do that could be
a reason to be mage why is heavyweight depth so weak versus other ufc divisions we've been over
this look at your own picture it's just much harder for combat sports to get access to the very
best athletes that we have that would fit within that division they tend to get recruited much earlier
and put into other funnels and pipelines for other sports like a miles Garrett for example
look do you like a chem jeffrey's new nickname apoxicore that came to him from charlie main the god
a chem jeffrey's is worthless he's a worthless piece of shit when judging a fighter does context
matter more than the result how much should opponent quality short notice and match it perfect
a winner lost all of those matter all of them matter we never just look at it like oh he won or he
lost well how did he lose who did he lose to what were the circumstances that the opponent came in from
was in a lucky shot did he land that shot a bunch of times did the referee intervene did the judges get
it right like all of those factors get weighed now sometimes people get that wrong because they have
limited information about what an upset might mean or any kind of any one particular fight so you
have to kind of look at her over the course of time and maybe update some of your priors but yeah
yeah like all of those things should be weighed to some degree in making an evaluation
do you watch contender series I do fighters with the highest ceiling that dude uh brito
the law Hassan dude I have been I watched I watched this past week I have been that one kid there
was the one kid who beat the McCracken kid though with the dude who beat McCracken he looked good well
forget his name um the talent has been so poor this year there's been really good standout talents and
those ones have been awesome there's another uh Brazilian kid I think on this uh on this on on
Tuesday show who looked like he was all right um but in general talent level so poor um that
you know there are definitely are some gems that go through there for sure but it's mostly a lot of
just like what are we doing here what do you think would happen to a fighter if he got on the mic and
said all glory to my lord and savior beels above hill satan not much I mean there'd be a little bit of
pushback I think there'd be some pushback about it uh especially if they went on and on about it
but there'd be more if they were like you know this this is not to me what a thing that would be
ultimately triggering I think you could go a different direction and get a lot more
with songs win how does 135 sort out okay so here's what I think you said oh malle has a
win over song but he won't get a shot of maravans against yon but he says also up there here's my
view my view is if yon beats maravans the trilogy they are gonna do shon versus yon there's just
no way they won't if maravans up winning I think they're gonna give song the title shot
is orientalism the book you'd recommend first from Edward Said it's the most important I don't
know if I would recommend it first I've heard that mentioned before but never read it I'm reading
and shittification orientalism is a tough book to read uh it requires a lot of supplementary study
in my opinion so it may not be the first one letters from oslo politics of dispossession
covering islam like any of those are good places to start for for say you
thoughts on the kttaelar fight an overall career we're gonna talk about this on mk tomorrow oh
guess who is my guest host tomorrow on mk you all ready dan hardy yes dan hardy is going to be my
guest host tomorrow so we're gonna talk about this with dan hardy no one is talking excuse me no
one is taking how dangerous that was for umar to be moved around like that when he was out also
putting my chips in on a part-ass 155 title yeah dude everyone was like oh he i saw will Brooks came
after me he was like oh he was you know he was in there trying to care for his brother great that's
true of anybody who has any level of concern who's cornering for anybody who's in that cage many
brothers have come before it or sisters or or dads or moms even or loved ones or children
or whatever like that has nothing to do with what the fucking rules are which is don't do that
because they need medical professionals to attend to them first i can understand the impulse of
why you would want to do that but you were not allowed to do that and there's very good reasons
for it and again if you just apologize after the fact i'm like you know what i like got carried
away i'd be like yeah fine he cares but then he was like you know if i wanted to hit on my wood i'd
be like i don't think you get this no Korean dictators on your top list oh uh
bonho june is that his name forget it the three parts of his name you could put him on there but
it wouldn't be my favorite however i don't know if i've got enough exposure to the full catalog of
stuff he's done i'm a progressive who finds myself disengaged with politics in a way i've never been
how do i find my way back to carrying again maybe you don't maybe you don't
maybe you're supposed to feel the way you feel maybe you should feel the way you feel
okay maybe that's the way your body needs you to feel for right now i don't know that i i feel
differently because i'm worried and i'm angry but maybe you don't if rogan wants to ask you one
again would you go on yet uh in all likelihood yes and what would the tone of the conversation be
like for you that's up to him i'm pretty pissed at him but it's up to him you know but i mean this
will never happen like again i'll grow i'll grow a fucking you know i'll grow eight dicks out of my
forehead before that happens again look at any plans on appearing on breaking points crystal
conference or anything else coming up soon nothing with them right now um but i got some other
stuff in the works so stay tuned i sign up for bjj and every time i go to the gym i pull up out front
and leave and never go in what do you do about this you listen i'm not saying this to shame you
okay i'm not i promise i'm not but what's happening is you are frightened you are frightened about
what might happen to you you are frightened not so much about being beat up maybe but i bet you're
frightened about showing a lack of prowess you're frightened um it is okay to be frightened to do
when before you do unknown things it's totally okay it's not okay to be so frightened that you don't
actually do them you just have to go do it and it won't be as bad as you imagine certainly not
for the most part in fact it'll be a lot better than you imagine depending on your age and the
school and stuff obviously but you are letting your fear control your life
public transportation investigating man city he's got a full plate do you imagine dude pissing off
a billionaire like that like would you be worried about your safety if you did that you know i
thought about that like getting sideways with like Saudi Arabian stuff speaking out about him like
should i be probably not on too low level but what never knows uh hope korean sci-fi horror movie
coming out in September 9th hit it oh hope okay let's put it on another note
all right thank you to everyone who showed up today a bit of a lighter live audience
bit of a lighter week not as much happening but i appreciate all of you i try to give you candid
answers where i can um i don't know what else to do all right oh there's one more here hold on
can you give me an opinion on florida dem jolly i don't know i appreciate the donation but i don't
have anything to say about this um mk tomorrow with dan horny live at 11 we'll get you ready for ufc
paris i will probably have either a watch along for paris or up some kind of post-fight well
Jesus kind of post-post-fight program or one more look do you think mma feels less special since
moving to paramount however you made it feel bigger and lead to getting together with friends
um this was one of the things that people were concerned about they were concerned about whether or not
taking the paywall away made it seem more routine you didn't have to put as many bells and whistles on
it i think in terms of card quality with the exception of like what's going to happen with ufc
332 in general i think that's somewhat overstated but on the other hand in terms of the social
ability effect i do think that might have um affected things uh so the answer is yes but maybe not
uniformly in that way um but i don't know does anyone want to go back to paying for pay per views i
don't you know i just wish there was some uh they need to do less content that's what they need to do
that's not what all the incentive structures that exist in modern media are pushing but that's
what needs to happen all right mk tomorrow 11 a.m east coast time with dan hardy thank you guys so
much of becoming members if you have thanks to anyone who donated thanks to anyone who watched
and i if you want more of the kind of stuff that's less full of idiots you can go to my sub-stack
i'm out of here i appreciate you here we go one more dan hardy is a great guest host good shit
yes should be fun tomorrow i'll see y'all live at 11 tomorrow and until then stay frosty
