LIV Golf Postpones Louisiana Event

The tournament set for Bayou Oaks at City Park in New Orleans from June 25th through 28th got postponed. State officials announced on Tuesday. This news dropped less than two weeks after L.I.V. CEO assured everyone the 2026 season was still on track, despite funding rumors. This is say the delay ties to the soccer world cup messing with crowds and TV numbers, plus brutal summer heat and iffy course conditions. Governor Jeff Landry and economic development head, Susan Bourgeois, put out a joint statement saying the state already shelled out $3,000,000 in contract money, $2,000,000 went straight into course upgrades, and they expect the remaining $1,200,000 back. Bourgeois chatted with the CEO last Friday and he floated moving things to this fall. Officials called it good faith moves and want to keep partnering up.
