Lindor Returns, Ready for Opening Day

Francisco Lindor finally made his spring training debut for the Metz on Sunday. The star shortstop played four innings against the Toronto Blue Jays and went one for three at the plate with a single. His team won the range shortened game. Lindor has been building back from Hamade bone surgery on February 11th. He recently faced live pitching and played defense in minor games, but this marked his first official grapefruit league action. Lindor called it a solid day, saying he felt like himself and finished healthy. He noted some lingering hand and wrist discomfort from the surgery and nerve issues, but he handled his plan four innings and three at bats without trouble. Manager Carlos Mendoza praised Lindor's aggressiveness at the plate. He highlighted hard contact, like foul balls over 108 miles per hour, and said the all-star look completely normal with no hesitation.
