Limerick's TLC Clean-Up: 24K Volunteers Transform City

0:00On April 3rd, a record 24,000 volunteers are hitting the streets of Limerick today for Europe's biggest one-day cleanup. This is Team Limerick cleanup, or TLC, marking its 11th year with massive turnout from across the county. Last year, they hauled away 50 tons of litter, that's like filling 2,000 household willy bins. The event gets backing from the JP McManus Benevolent Fund and Limerick City and County Council, keeping it strong year after year. JP McManus himself says he's proud of how TLC has grown over the decade, crediting the dedication of everyday folks. Over 90 schools, 42 tidy towns groups, and 48 sports clubs are jumping in to make the city shine.
