Lil Durk's Murder Trial Postponed, Set for August 2026

0:00On March 2nd, Lil Dirk's federal trial on murder for higher charges has been pushed back again, with a new start date of August 20th, 20th, 26th. US District Judge Michael W. Fitzgerald made the call after reviewing recent court filings from the case. The judge turned down requests from co-defendants to split their trials from Dirk's, saying everyone accused in the same plot should face court, together. This comes after the rapper's arrest in October 2024 when he was denied bail and has stayed locked up ever since. Prosecutors claim Dirk arranged to hit on rival rapper, Kwondo Rondo, which instead killed Rondo's cousin. The case was first set for April, but got delayed over its many layers and players involved. Earlier this year, reports surfaced about Dirk having an apple watch in his cell, adding to the headlines. While behind bars, he's kept quiet publicly, but did drop one album, Deep Thoughts, right around his arrest, with guest spots from Lil Baby, Future.
