A man in the 70s was the most seriously injured while walking his dog in the suburb of Hamersley. Georgia described how she and her friends saw thunder and lightning as they headed to the sports courts. Suddenly, everyone's hair stood on end, followed by a loud bang. She felt pain in her head and her spine vibrating, then numbness in her feet that left her crying. Her friends helped her to the school office, where teachers noticed the girls stuttering and struggling to stand. They laid them down with feet elevated until an ambulance arrived. At the hospital, Georgia had heart tests and other checks before being sent home to watch for symptoms. She's doing okay now, just with some spine pain.
