About this episode
“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart.” — Helen Keller
“Bodies are the story of our life” — Annie Brook We come to know ourselves through our sensory perceptions of life, how the world affects us and how we move within it. Our bodies are a map of our histories, they truly are the story of our lives; they record the ways in which we were brought up, they chronicle our joys, our sorrows, our accidents and illnesses, our emotional experiences and our beliefs. They reflect the stories we tell ourselves, and the stories others tell about us.
Lisa and Michael are joined this week by the amazing Annie Brook, master therapist and educator who has helped individuals, couples, families, and children for over 35 years. Annie shares her journey that led her to becoming a somatic therapist and the importance of the daily practice of play to awaken the body.
